Historia
In the early summer of 2014, Farida Khalaf was a typical Yazidi teenager living with her parents and three brothers in her village in the mountains of Northern Iraq. In one horrific day, she lost everything: ISIS invaded her village, destroyed her family, and sold her into sexual slavery. The Girl Who Escaped ISIS is her incredible account of captivity and describes how she defied the odds and escaped a life of torture in order to share her story with the world.

I loved this eye opening story and my heart breaks for all the young women and their families who had to endure all the pain and heartache. I’m so thankful for all those who escaped and were able to reunite with their families. Thank you for sharing your story. You are a hero to all!

I loved Everything about the book! Her descriptions of feeling, sights, and smells. She make her audience feel like we are right there with the characters. I will be thinking about this story for weeks or until I start another.

I love this story, so unpredictable at times, always keeping me at the edge of my seat! The story is written so eloquently and so full of emotions, I’d find myself thinking about the characters and what they were going through all the time. I really loved this book!

Historia
In this searing memoir of survival in the spirit of Stolen Innocence, the daughter of Warren Jeffs, the self-proclaimed Prophet of the FLDS Church, takes you deep inside the secretive polygamist Mormon fundamentalist cult run by her family and how she escaped it. Born into the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Rachel Jeffs was raised in a strict patriarchal culture defined by subordinate sister wives and men they must obey.

I loved this story, and I felt like I was there living the night mare with her and her family at times. I would love to meet Rachel and just visit with her and tell her how proud I am of her! I hope she and her children are doing well and are all happy! I feel like she’s a friend or family member after hearing her story. God bless her and all the brave people who got away and still love our Heavenly Father and know he would never put such selfish rules on his people. He loves us too much!

Historia
From an early age, Alex Seeley was told she was an accident, but she also carried the weight of feeling stupid. Labels like these, sometimes spoken over us by well-meaning people, can cause us to believe lies about ourselves that make us question why we were born and what our purpose on earth could be. Yet, according to Psalm 139, God designed us in his image, with a unique DNA and amazing characteristics! We are loved and created for a purpose that only we can fulfill.
