Historia
As the pandemic forced us to socialize at a distance, Kelsey McKinney was mourning the juicy updates and jaw-dropping stories she’d typically collect over drinks with friends—and from her hunger, the blockbuster Normal Gossip podcast was born. With listenership in the millions, Kelsey found herself thinking more critically about gossip as a form, and wanting to better understand the role it plays in our culture. In You Didn't Hear This From Me, McKinney explores the murkiness of everyday storytelling.

Excellent Narration

I'm sure like many others, I was looking forward to this book because of the author’s podcast, Normal Gossip. This book did not disappoint! Well researched, well argued, well written. Unique but engaging point of view. All in all, a really great work

Historia
How do master storytellers compel us? There have been many attempts to understand what makes a good story, but few have used a scientific approach. In The Science of Storytelling, Will Storr applies dazzling psychological research and cutting-edge neuroscience to our myths and archetypes to show how we can tell better stories, revealing, among other things, how storytellers - and also our brains - create worlds by being attuned to moments of unexpected change.

I wish I read this
Revisado: 01-25-23
I really think this book, in the way it’s been written, doesn’t lend itself to narration. It refers to past passages by numbers, and includes worksheets.
It’s more of a how to guide than a nonfiction book, which is fine, I just would have preferred reading it.
