Amazing!
Revisado: 03-23-21
A wonderful delight. Amy is heartfelt, relatable, honest, hilarious and tough. I did not expect the wide array of emotions, but she made me cry more than once and laugh out loud a lot, which is rare for me to have that kind of reaction from an audible book. I love that she recruited some of her friends to help her with the narration. I didn’t find it distracting at all. More like bonus content that I know I wouldn’t have experienced in the actual book, which I also have. I would suggest getting both versions for the full experience.

Great book
Revisado: 08-08-20
I’ve loved this book since I was a kid. Now my kids love it. A beautiful book. The narration was ok. I liked the sound effects, but felt the music was a bit distracting and over powering. Still, overall a great children’s book to listen to especially at bedtime.

Historia
Anna Kendrick's autobiographical collection of essays amusingly recounts memorable moments throughout her life, from her middle-class upbringing in New England to the blockbuster movies that have made her one of Hollywood's most popular actresses today. Expanding upon the witty and ironic dispatches for which she is known, Anna Kendrick's essays offer her one-of-a-kind commentary on the absurdities she's experienced on her way to and from the heart of pop culture.

It’s great!
Revisado: 12-21-17
I started listening simply out of curiosity. The more I listened, the more I enjoyed. Anna unveils her biography with relatable humor, self-deprecating honesty and provides window into the backstage realm of being a celebrity, which we find is not as glamorous and romantic as commonly thought. She dives into handling relationships, insecurities, feeling accepted, handling success and adapting to the LA lifestyle. It’s peppered with humorous antidotes and stories. I got a lot more out of it than just a peek into the life of a celebrity. Highly recommended!

Historia
Nando Parrado was unconscious for three days before he woke to discover that the plane carrying his rugby team to Chile had crashed deep in the Andes, killing many of his teammates, his mother, and his sister. Stranded with the few remaining survivors on a lifeless glacier and thinking constantly of his father’s grief, Parrado resolved that he could not simply wait to die. So Parrado, an ordinary young man with no particular disposition for leadership or heroism, led an expedition up the treacherous slopes of a snowcapped mountain and across forty-five miles of frozen wilderness.

I enjoyed this more than "Alive". Nando not only describes in full detail his harrowing experience in the Andes, but also how it affected his faith, his attitude and the rest of his life. Beautifully written.

Historia
Take one look at Kevin Smith: He's a balding fatty who wears a size XXL hockey jersey, shorts, and slippers year-round. Not a likely source for life advice. But take a second look at Kevin Smith: He changed filmmaking forever when he was twenty-four with the release of Clerks, and since then has gone on to make nine more profitable movies, runs his own production company, wrote a best-selling graphic novel, and has a beautiful wife and kids. So he must be doing something right.

Revisado: 02-23-15
Loved this book. Smith reflects on his life choices and how he became successful. This isn't just funny stories, although there's lots of that, it's how to posture yourself for happiness and success. Smiths attitude and way with people have served him his whole life. His story is inspiring and motivating. Props for reading his own book.
