Excellent review of the battles for the Kandahar and Helmand.

He did a great job detailing the history of the Helmand Valley. His even handed take showed the frustration of the Afghans in regard to NATO forces, and the complex meltdown of US policy in regards to stability programs.
He succinctly said explains complex tribal politics and agriculture programs.
I highly recommend this book!
