Historia
In a strange world where Rose McGowan was continually on display, stardom soon became a personal nightmare of constant exposure and sexualization. Rose escaped into the world of her mind, something she had done as a child, and into high-profile relationships. Every detail of her personal life became public, and the realities of an inherently sexist industry emerged with every script, role, public appearance, and magazine cover. The Hollywood machine packaged her as a sexualized bombshell, hijacking her image and identity and marketing them.

intense and rewarding...
Revisado: 05-22-18
Not for the faint of heart. A harrowing, raw journey. Maintain focus to the second half which reads like a long-awaited, revelatory manifesto for our Age. Go you. Go further.

hyper radiant girl liar
Revisado: 06-23-07
This will take some time and careful listening to maximize the effect. I enjoyed it immensely, but found myself rewinding quite a bit to figure things out and to appreciate the writing style. It's quite subtle and conceptual. A really nice addition to the literature of young women's coming of age stories.
It reads as suspense, but if you looking for a resolution to the mystery you will be disappointed.

Historia
To survive in a game with no rules at all, John Corey must invent a strategy that includes no luck at all. He and the Anti-Terrorist Task Force must stop "The Lion," an alleged Libyan terrorist with the instincts of a wild animal, the bloodlust of a carnivore, and the boldness and speed of a cat of prey.

requisite love story
Revisado: 10-19-05
i became distracted by the romantic angle and didn't feel it was necessary for DeMille to include the lovey-dovey business in this otherwise suspenseful terrorist/chase plot.
and this is a long one! much longer than any average round-trip road trip i take. so i found myself listening to smaller bits each day driving to work just to get thru the story.

Historia
Charlie and Oliver Caruso are brothers who work at Greene & Greene, a private bank so exclusive you need two million dollars just to be a client. But when the door of success slams in their faces, they're faced with an offer they can't refuse: three million dollars in an abandoned account. No one knows it exists, and even better, it doesn't belong to anyone.

great expectations?
Revisado: 09-02-05
I listen to audiobooks while commuting and waiting in line(s). Most of the time I listen to suspense books. My expectations for this book genre was completely satisfied by this author and the narrator. Sure the plot is weak at points and sometimes the pace is off, but this is entertainment not literature! In particular I really enjoyed the sibling interaction!
