Historia
Women can be heroes. When twenty-year-old nursing student Frances “Frankie” McGrath hears these words, it is a revelation. Raised in the sun-drenched, idyllic world of Southern California and sheltered by her conservative parents, she has always prided herself on doing the right thing. But in 1965, the world is changing, and she suddenly dares to imagine a different future for herself. When her brother ships out to serve in Vietnam, she joins the Army Nurse Corps and follows his path.

I landed ai the Da Nang airbase January 1968. I went north to join 3/9 Marine Bn. and Reg. It sounds as if it was work hard and then party.
We never had anything cold to drink and would come in from 30 day and night patrol to change clothes (that’s 30 days in the same clothes) a quick shower and out for more fun. How about carrying severally wounded Marines and dead Marines while the dead and wounded continue to grow in number. When night fell there was no one to dance with only visions of the dead friends haunting our fitful sleep.
It sounds as though the Army had it pretty cushy. Why am I griping about this it almost brings tears to my eyes to think

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Prejudice not always directed to someone’s skin color
Revisado: 06-05-24
It seemed authentic and not fictional. The story pulls the reader into its drama.
Kya was different than the town folk and because she was different there was a prejudicial attitude toward her.

Probably one of the books I have discussed with others. Keith’s strength and fever was undeniable as was his partner of 7 years.

Historia
Ancient Mesopotamia’s legacy was truly revolutionary. Childlike pictures scratched into wet clay evolved into the first written language. The Mesopotamians wrote the first epic poems, the first hymns, the first histories, and the first law codes. They developed the first wheel for transportation; simple carts that hauled bricks or produce morphed into chariots racing along at 35 miles per hour.

Historia
The dramatic autobiography of one of China's dedicated, courageous, and intensely persecuted house church leaders. This is the gripping story of how God took a young, half-starved boy from a poor village in Henan province and placed him on the front line for Jesus, in the face of impossible odds. Instead of focusing on the many miracles or experiences of suffering, however, Yun prefers to focus on the character and beauty of Jesus.

I am so thankful for Yun’s testimony on how God used him. He suffered so much.I It would be very difficult to find any one who could survive all the beatings, torture, starvation, and loneliness. God used this broken servant to lead many to our Savior Jesus.

After reading, this book should be kept for constant reference. If you choose to pass it on to a friend go ahead, but purchase another one for your self. One reading is not enough to remember all the concepts that you will need to to refer back to in order to be kept on the right trail as traversing through the forest of life.

During Jeremiah's 40 years of ministry, he never received a hint of gratitude. As one of the most important of the "Major Prophets", Jeremiah is a rich, rewarding study. It is full of surprises, deeply touching episodes, and extremely moving tale. It is also, in many ways, profoundly timely for us today.

The two books of Samuel form a basic foundational study in the Old Testament. An understanding of this basic history is essential, not only to understanding the Old and New Testaments, but in gaining a valid perspective of eschatological issues as well.
