A fun story
Revisado: 09-26-20
Felix and Katy were two characters with dynamic chemistry who made this romcom come alive. I loved their antics some of them were a bit over the top, but I don't mind that. I wanted a bit of fun and this helped me giggle. I especially liked Felix though Katy was more real.
I liked the British accent but I wasn't very fond of the narrator. She wasn't soothing to my ears, and I had to really concentrate hard to understand. Luckily I had bought the ebook so I could follow the story by reading most of it.
Overall it was a fun read/listen

Historia
The box contained a cell phone, which rang as soon as she opened the package. A voice that called Dr. Kathy Hoover by name said that her husband had been kidnapped. To get him back, she would have to poison one of her patients. At first, she didn’t believe that her husband had been taken from the conference he was attending, but soon she discovered that the kidnappers really had Darren. If she wanted to see him again, she had to give medication that would murder Kelton Rush, former Vice-President. What was she to do? How would she handle this critical decision?

A good read/listen
Revisado: 07-24-20
I loved the premise of the book. I could listen to it fairly fast as I understood the scenario of a doctor's life. A kidnapped husband with the kidnapper waning the wife to kill one of her patients was the biggest dilemma.
The pace was fast with dual POV with suspense in the scenes. The narration was good though I would have loved a female narrator.
Overall, a good read/listen.

Historia
Renowned human rights lawyer Elizabeth Maurier lies dead, her body mutilated, her killer unknown. For DI Olivia Martins and her team, it’s a mystery. For the victim’s daughter Lizzy, a poet and academic with a shaky grasp on reality, it’s a tragedy. But for Sam Williams, the man Elizabeth fired a decade ago and hasn’t spoken to since, it’s a whole new world of pain.

I liked this much better than book 1. The plot was convoluted with the murder of Sam's old boss and other women. I liked how the author could keep my interest going with fast pace and twists.
Though it was the same narrator as book 1, I liked this one better. Maybe the plot line contributed to my increased concentration.
I could visualize the story better in this read/listen.

A good read
Revisado: 07-24-20
I loved the premise of a lawyer turned investigator and plunged into a world so different from his. My first read by this author. For me, the road to different plot lines felt a bit slow than what I am used to. Saying that, I managed to reach the latter half when the story picked up and had some twists.
I found the narrator okay.
Overall, a good read

A great listen
Revisado: 05-18-20
This was the most fun among all the books in the series I had read until now. The story had Rachel best friend Sarah on a paid holiday cruise until the ex turned up. Murder too followed this young lady. And the investigation started with a flicker or two for the ex who was on another investigation
Rachel was great, she had more conflicts this time around. The author etched her character well, maybe after two books, I knew her much better now.
The narrator was great, my ears got attuned to her voice so I could listen to the story at a faster speed.

An entertaining read
Revisado: 05-18-20
My second book by the author, it was much more fun than the first as I knew the characters by now, and I knew solving the murder was what Rachel did best. When a Russian crew member was found dead, it got her brain cells thinking.
The story had layers to it as quite a bit of conflicts do occur on the ship.
I had got used to narrator by now, and found myself enjoying the listen more than book 1.

A fun listen
Revisado: 05-18-20
My first book by this author, it was quite an entertaining and stress free read/listen. Murder set on a cruise gave me a locked room kind of a feel to it which kept my interest going. I was not very keen about the workimgs of a ship, but getting to the identutu of the killer was interesting.
Rachel was delightful, though some parts were predictable. Today I found comfort in that predictability.
The narrator was okay.
A delightful cozy murder mystery.

A fab listen
Revisado: 04-04-20
Oh. My. Gawd. The author was some wicked man to have thought up this story. It was simply brilliant.
The prose was written with multitudes of emotions, the parents' loss and grief, the need for revenge and ultimately the suspense and thriller. DWAYNE was a masterplayer who knew how to bring about a twist at the right time.
The story which I thought would be straightforward was one winded, sometimes I felt it doubled upon itself with me in the center. I heard the book over many nights with the narrator Tom Jordan's voice flowing over me. Smooth as whiskey I would say with the right expressions; dips and highs of tone were perfect.
Overall a perfect thriller which kept me awake over many nights listening to the prose just like a thriller movie.

I couldn't finish the book as the story was not plotted well. The chapters were not seamless and no suspense.

A fun read
Revisado: 01-28-20
My first audiobook by author Andrew Cunningham and narrator Greg Hernandez, I loved the narration. It was fast paced and lively. The intonations brought out the different expressions of the story. The author’s writing came alive by the narration as I could visualize the scenes easily. I found that I could go a speed higher while listening to the narrator. It was that clear.
The story had its twists and turns with a massive reveal at the beginning of it. Then on it was a race against time. I couldn’t help but try to scramble fast to keep up with the main characters.
