I love a story that gives a satisfying beginning middle and end.
All blended so smoothly. The beginning was the heart, the middle was the excitement and the end was satisfaction of a delicious meal.
I've loved Stephen King since my first introduction, Salem's Lot.

An Old Favorite Come to Life in my Headphones

This is one of my favorite ANNE RICE's series - in between LESTAT & the Bunch and SLEEPING BEAUTY.
Can't wait to see it really come to life on TV later this month.
I last read this series over 20yrs ago but Rowan and the Witches were still as Great as I remember. Minus some of the smaller details due to the abridged version. I read it right after INTERVIEW so I remember associating the Witches with The Great Family. With The Talamasca, still always lurking in the Shadows watching, but this time doing more than merely observing.
An incredible story to follow in to, with such an amazing history of characters and vivid description of their surrounding world.
I also appreciated the way the narrative style changed for the abridged portions.
Fall in love with witches, with me!

I don't know how I happened on this book but I am so glad I did.
This is the first time I listened to a book actual performed by the writer...in the author's own voice.
It seemed to make it so much more magical.
To hear it the way she must have heard it in her head as she was writing was amazing.
Closing my eyes while I listened I could actually see her Ghost world.
Her descriptions helped me to fall right into the ancient culture.
This story was an incredible experience.
I'm going to look for another one of her books now!

There were times I just wanted to turn it off .... exchanged it.... just leave it alone in dragging frustration but I'm glad I stuck with it.
Their story was adventurous, romantic and steamy hot.

This One Made Me

I've been enjoying the Kindred for a nice Long while and never have I had a complaint worth making but this one made me.
The narrator has a nice voice but it's sounding like he's reading a textbook and the whisper is killing me .... and I'm only a third way in. I trying so hard to finish.
I have no doubt in the story it's the Listening.
Sorry, Bill. I'll Love You in the next one.
