Historia
When Sam meets Leah in a bar one night, he's tongue-tied and leaves her with the mistaken impression that he's not interested because she's not thin enough. But when he finds himself helping Leah deliver a wedding cake to her ex-boyfriend's wedding, he comes to her rescue after a pushy woman insults Leah about her dating prospects and her weight - by proclaiming he's her fiancé. Leah is furious. Because that pushy woman is her mom, and now her family can't wait for the wedding.

Just cringe after cringe
Revisado: 04-27-19
The premise of this had so much promise, but for me fell flat. As a curvy girl, I hoped for a better mindset for the main character but had to settle for characters so self-indulgent/self-pitying and prideful that they can never just finish a talk and therefore the unnecessary tension drags the book out 3x as long as it was necessary. Violet Strong did a great narration job, I just found myself constantly white-knuckled with the ways the characters were acting.

Historia
When spontaneous and carefree meets cautious and responsible, falling in love can get just a little Twisted
There are two kinds of people in this world: the ones who look first, and the ones who leap. I’ve always been more of a looker. A planner. Cautious. Then I met Drew Evans. He was so persistent. So sure of himself. He made it easy to leap with him.
Did you think Drew and I were going to ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after? So did I. But life is about choices, and Drew already made his. In fact, he tried to decide for the both of us—but you know that’s not my style. So I came back to Greenville, to spend some time alone . . . sort of.
Because old habits die hard, and sometimes you have to go back to where you began before you can move ahead again.

Underwhelming and frustrating
Revisado: 03-15-17
I loved Tangled but this dragged on far too long with poor communication. I found myself rolling my eyes at Kate way too often. Cliched story and completely predictable. The epilogue redeems it slightly, best part of the story. My biggest problem is: why can't a female character be viewed as strong by a man and actually be strong? I loved the fact that Kate was strong in Tangled, but now frustrated that we don't get the strong female character we deserve.
