Historia
Richard Royal has a hard life. He lives in a corrupt, church-controlled dystopia, his family is soon broken, and the only joy to be had comes from the escapism of his full-immersion gaming. Introduced to a new and very illegal game, he finds himself in the body of a dragon, on a quest to find a dark and evil power to serve. But the game is more than it seems, and the dragon is more than a beast. Soon Rich's life is far, far more complicated than he ever expected. And the threats against him grow, both in-game and in realspace.

Sometimes cringey but overall enjoyable
Revisado: 08-17-23
Loved the story and loved the performance, will be sad to not hear Nick on book 2, I really hate narrator changes too. Book only lost maybe half a star because the two main characters can be extremely cringey at times and I personally think them not knowing about each other went on for too long.

Historia
Utilizing the Hall, the voice in his head that calls itself Locke, those who have aligned with his faction, and all the powers available to him, Ash has begun his own journey of Cultivation. Except that as a Fated One, his journey is a narrow and winding path between two cosmic forces. Each one vying for dominance. That doesn’t even take into account the royal family or the Realm Lord. This is his third step in his life as a Cultivator.

Not mad disappointed
Revisado: 12-08-22
I feel like a father who isn’t mad, just disappointed. This is becoming a terrible habit of the authors of making a mc too powerful too quickly and then producing cheesy deus ex machina type nerfs to the character in order to force a loss. It’s like he can’t fathom that the opposite of deus ex machines are just as bad if not worse. If you can’t produce a reasonable way for your character to lose without some nonsensical ability crafted only to beat them, maybe they’re too strong… and the cliff hanger ending plus the lovey dovey dialogue becoming to be a bit much. Overall I continue to be disappointed by an author I genuinely like.
