Historia
Piloted by a six-year-old girl, the godlike Skalm guards the Districts of TASC. Her family is long dead. Her adopted father is a synthetic copy of an alien, her nanny an artificial mind connected via subspace to every part of the globe, feeding the young girl information, finding prey to satiate her growing thirst. But the young girl is an innocent, a victim, one of millions the war has already claimed.

Unexpected and great
Revisado: 11-27-23
I decided to go with one of audible recommendations in the app. It was a good move. This story started with great character development, and really built in multiple storylines. By the end of the series I felt like I was on an intricate journey. It was a really enjoyable listen.

Of the five contenders for power, one is dead, another in disfavor, and still the wars rage. Joffrey sits on the Iron Throne, the uneasy ruler of the Seven Kingdoms. His most bitter rival, Lord Stannis, stands defeated and disgraced, victim of the sorceress who holds him in her thrall. Young Robb still rules the North from the fortress of Riverrun. Meanwhile, making her way across a blood-drenched continent is the exiled queen, Daenerys, mistress of the only three dragons left in the world.

Excellent as always
Revisado: 06-20-16
Story and performance is incredible. Roy Dotrice is an incredible narrator. So talented and I forgot that this was read to me by one person. His range is vast.
There was a small technical glitch though. There was a popping sound in Chapter 11, around the 2 min mark for about 3 minutes. Distracting but not a deal breaker.
My rating would be a 5 if it weren't for that. Everything else was great.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Wow
Revisado: 11-28-15
Excellent narration. R.C. Bray made me believe he was stuck on Mars. Nailed the accents too. The story was incredible. I reluctantly began this book thinking it Walpole be a lonely journey which would mean a lonely reader experience. Nope. Andy Weir wrote an excellent book. 5 stars all around.
