Pino Lella wants nothing to do with the war or the Nazis. He's a normal Italian teenager - obsessed with music, food, and girls - but his days of innocence are numbered. When his family home in Milan is destroyed by Allied bombs, Pino joins an underground railroad helping Jews escape over the Alps, and falls for Anna, a beautiful widow six years his senior. This book is based on real people and events during WWII. I expected it to be interesting but was surprised it was a real page-turner and difficult to put down. I was very happy the author detailed what happened to the people in the book at the end. Highly recommend this educational and entertaining book.

Revisado: 08-25-22
This book was very well researched and written. The characters were extremely well developed—probably the best fictional characters I’ve seen in quite a while. Loved how the story line went back and forth between countries and years—kept you guessing how they were going to come together. Highly recommend this book!

I hesitated buying this book as it was so long and I’d already read a lot about Lucid Dreaming. But I was intrigued because it was so long and I wondered what the author had to say that others didn’t.
She covered everything related to lucid dreaming and applied it to every single aspect of everyday life, as well as dying consciously. Additionally she applied it to spirituality and to life after death.
I rarely write a book review but this book was amazing.

Fantastic book. Characters are totally believable and are introduced timely. Interesting twists and turns. Entertaining fantasy/science fiction but you don’t feel like that’s what you’re reading. Instead you feel like Your read a novel happening now. Highly recommend!

I’m a great-grandma who loves fantasy and the write-up of this book intrigued me. I loved it and found myself rooting for and identifying with the feelings and dilemmas of the characters. It’s an easy read that leaves you smiling and feeling happy. The music at the end was very nice. The narrators were excellent. I highly recommend this book!

Historia
Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety.

Historia
Dave, an investment counselor with PTSD, survives a blowout that kills his fiancee, Allison. A year later, Dave has found unexpected happiness with Cathy. At Dave's very-small-high-school reunion, Dave is stunned that he doesn't recognize anyone there. Cathy, who was previously victimized by a con man, breaks it off. Late that night, Dave gets a text: "How does it feel to be so quickly forgotten?" Apparently, someone close to Allison is angry that he has moved on so "soon." Dave's PTSD symptoms make him avoid conflict at almost any cost, so he hopes this will pass. It doesn't.

Loved this book! It was an easy reading page turner with plot twists continually appearing every time I thought I’d began to figure it out. The ending was totally surprising. In addition to being an excellent mystery, it was also very sensitive. The narrator was perfect for the story. This book would also have make an excellent movie.

Historia
When editor Susan Ryeland is given the manuscript of Alan Conway's latest novel, she has no reason to think it will be much different from any of his others. After working with the best-selling crime writer for years, she's intimately familiar with his detective, Atticus Pünd, who solves mysteries disturbing sleepy English villages. An homage to queens of classic British crime such as Agatha Christie and Dorothy Sayers, Alan's traditional formula has proved hugely successful.

I liked that everyone was a valid suspect. The first one or two chapters were slow. I questioned my judgment in ordering the book but soon I was totally hooked. Anyone who enjoys a good murder mystery with interesting characters and plenty of reasons for a murder will enjoy this book.
