Historia
Homicide is always an abomination, but there is something exceptionally disturbing about the victim discovered in a high, lonely place: a corpse with a mouth full of sand, abandoned at a crime scene seemingly devoid of tracks or useful clues. Though it goes against his better judgment, Navajo tribal police lieutenant Joe Leaphorn cannot help but suspect the hand of a supernatural killer.

A fun journey back to Navajo Country

I read most of the books in this series decades ago and recalled nothing while listening to the audiobooks. It was like getting new books! I also used Libby to borrow the digital written version from my public library this week because I wanted to enjoy it both ways. The media are about equal, unless you have any difficulty with the audio performance or you just want to see how things are spelled. If performing other tasks while listening, I sometimes had to rewind and listen at 1x playback speed.
George Guidall did a good job performing most of these titles and my copy of this is very clear. I heard him read Thief of Time using Libby—he slurred his words together and inserted pauses within sentences, adding nothing to the story. Glad I didn’t buy that one.
FYI: The Libby audiobook app is superior to the Audible app in many ways.

Historia
Power is fundamental in our lives—we express it in every conversation, relationship, and choice we make. All too often, we equate force and domination with power, while gentleness and compassion are considered “soft” or “weak.” The destructive nature of this skewed perspective has never been more obvious, yet there is reason to hope. With Gentle Power, Dr. Emilia Elisabet Lahti shares an illuminating guide to an emerging shift in the way we define true strength.

Dreadfully boring

Forget this. Too much fluff. I don’t believe a better performance would’ve helped. If you want to know about Sisu, perform a Google search and go from there. Spend five minutes reading Wikipedia.
