All Eddie wanted was to get in his room, order room service, and enter a 30-day dumpling coma—after which, he figured, this whole thing would be over.

Powerful personal essay about finding home

I really enjoyed listening to Eddie Huang's journey during the COVID-19 lockdown to experience his father's homeland in Taiwan. Also, a bonus for me that since I am a longtime Orlando resident, I appreciated the local references. Although I don't always agree with his conclusions (come back to Florida) I appreciate his voice.

An Amazing Journey with Katie and Tom

Katie Moulton has pulled off the rare feat of being introspective without being overly indulgent. I almost didn't select this book because of the title. Other than country and geography, I don't share much in common with this writer but I connected with her love of music (live and recorded) and dealing with loss. The audiobook provides the opportunity to hear the writer speak her story in her own voice.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Mirron Willis?
As someone who once lived in southeastern Michigan, the pronunciation of places in Detroit and Michigan were like fingers on a chalkboard. "Campus Martius" was pronounced two different ways..both of them wrong. "Traverse City" also pronounced wrong too. I loved his voice, but please talk to a local and get it right next time.
