Over the years I've enjoyed numerous audio books from Audible so I was surprised that they allowed this recording to slip by. Although the narration is fine, the audio levels of the of the recording were so high as to cause distortion whenever the narrator raised his voice. In fact, I was so disgusted with the poor audio quality that I cancelled my Audible subscription a few weeks later.

I enjoyed listening to the story of the Dog Master. The story is very deep and has lots of twists and turns. Very tense in parts.

Well worth reading, or listening to on Audio.

Michael Crichton was an amazing author with a talent for merging fact and fiction. The story is brought to life by Frances Cassidy who not only has a beautiful voice but one of the most talented voice actors I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.

What did you like best about The Lost Book of Mormon? What did you like least?

Not much, which is a pity because the idea behind it is interesting. The problem is Steinberg's ego overshadows almost every paragraph.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of P.J. Ochlan?

Almost anyone. P. J. Ochlan's narration is so bad as to make this audio book almost impossible to listen to. This is not the first time I've come accross bad narration on Audible but by far this is the worst.

This story is full of love, life, memories, loyalty and trust. I will certainly be listening to it again.

The narration by George Wilson, was very enjoyable.

I have just finished listening to the story, and I feel very emotional.

Thank you to the Author for such a great story.

Any additional comments?

Like so many books of this ilk the concepts covered are generic with very few examples.
Bottom line? Talks the talk, but hasn't got the legs to walk.

Would you consider the audio edition of Going Clear to be better than the print version?

No. As an audio book it suffers from poor narration and a total lack of inflection making it slightly less captivating than listening to child reading from the New York telephone directory. Perhaps they should have had Tommy Davis narrate it?

Who was your favorite character and why?

L. Ron Hubbard. Why? Because he first published what was to become the basis for Scientology back in 1950. Back then it was little more than a treatise he entitled "Dianetics" but it was to become much more than that. Love him, loathe him, flimflammer or modern day prophet L. Ron Hubbard was certainly not your average man.

What didn’t you like about Morton Sellers’s performance?

His lack of inflection. That said, the book was "clearly" not writen for the spoken word.

What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?

How to generate recurring revenue.

Any additional comments?

This book provides a "clear" insight into not only the birth of Scientology, but the life of the man who started it all. It's well written, mostly unbiased and an example of how truth can sometimes be stranger than fiction.

Would you be willing to try another one of Stephen Hoye’s performances?

Personally I found listening to Stephen's delivery extremely difficult. That said, the book itself is very informative and worth buying in print form if not audio.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

A well produced audiobook that brings the KJV bible truly to life. However it has one HUGE problem. There is no way to navigate around the recording. No book, chapter or verse info. All you get is a bunch of audio files.
