Historia
When Max Krupin - Russia's leader - discovers that his kidney cancer has spread to his brain, he's determined to hide his diagnosis. He begins by getting rid of anyone threatening to him - as well as creating chaos in the region to keep the world's attention diverted. Soon, Krupin's illness becomes serious enough that he needs a more dramatic diversion, prompting him to invade the Baltics. Desperate to understand what's causing Krupin's unusually erratic behavior and Russia's aggressive moves in the region, America begins working with Russia's disgraced prime minister to stage a coup.

Ehhh
Revisado: 05-28-19
I put this book at bottom 3 of all the Mitch Rapp novels. Story wasn’t rich with detail. Action was mediocre. Performance as always by George was great.
The action scenes were brief and the story line some what boring and easy to identify what was about to happen. Message to the author, you gotta step it up. I’ve read all the Mitch Rapp novels and this one fell flat. Good luck with the next one. I sincerely hope it’s better.

Historia
In his groundbreaking best seller The Gift of Fear, Gavin de Becker showed millions of readers that, like every creature on earth, human beings can predict violent behavior. Now, in this exclusive audio presentation of Protecting the Gift, de Becker empowers parents to fully trust their own intuition when it comes to their children's safety. In this indispensable resource, de Becker provides keen insights into the behavior and strategies of predators. He offers practical new steps to enhance children's safety at every age level: specific questions parents can ask to effectively screen and evaluate babysitters, daycare services, schools, and doctors; a "Test of 12" safety skills children need before being alone in public; warning signs to help parents protect children from sexual abuse; and how to keep teenage girls and boys from unsafe situations with peers and adults. De Becker also shatters the myth that rules like "Never talk to strangers" will keep your children safe. By showing what danger really looks like - as opposed to what we might imagine it looks like - de Becker gives parents freedom from many common worries and unwarranted fears.

Historia
In December 1937, in the capital of China, one of the most brutal massacres in the long annals of wartime barbarity occurred. The Japanese army swept into the ancient city of Nanking and within weeks not only looted and burned the defenseless city but systematically raped, tortured and murdered more than 300,000 Chinese civilians. Amazingly, the story of this atrocity- one of the worst in world history- continues to be denied by the Japanese government.

Wow

This book should be required reading in all US high school history classes. I only heard the stories of Japanese atrocities. This book details the absolute savagery that the Japanese committed against the Chinese people of Nanking.

Historia
Some have called him "Lawrence of Afghanistan". To the Pashtun tribesmen he is "Commander Jim", leader of the "bearded ones". He is Army Special Forces Major Jim Gant, one of the most charismatic and controversial U.S. commanders of modern memory, a man who changed the face of America's war in Afghanistan when his critical white paper, "One Tribe at a Time", went viral at the Pentagon, the White House, and on Capitol Hill in 2009.

Great effects on the battlefield. As a soldier I agree with only one aspect of his article 15. But I understand why he kept his soon to be wife with him. The rest was nonsensical and a complete crime against an amazing soldier and human being. I wish Jim Gant the best.

Content was great.

I found it difficult to fully take in the message due to the monotone nature that it was delivered in. Perhaps you could argue my mind was not clear enough to take in what the reader was providing. However the flat delivery did not keep my attention.
