Great story teller

What I love about Kevin H is EVERYTHING. He writes with humor, intelligence, wonderful characters, sneaky references to our modern foibles, and draws worlds that resonate with all parts i am a female senior but still appreciate the humor of the 16 yr old male. .The Iron Druid is still my first love (or is it really Oberon?) but I haven't read a book or story yet I haven't loved. Or heard. The Audible with Lucky Luke is not to be missed.

Non stop action. Interesting plot and enjoyed the narration. Kept the drama without overdoing the tone.

Fascinating Book

Love how it makes you think about the beginnings of human life. And to think about all the things learned and how our thoughts and beliefs are impacted by our surroundings. This was a book that I hated to stop listening to, and finished all too fast. Ready for next in series now.

Really pleasantly Surprised

What made the experience of listening to The Witness the most enjoyable?

I think of Nora Roberts as a sappy romance novelist. Don't know where I got that idea but loved this book. Yes the heroine did find love but it was really an exciting story of a really strong amazing teen who grew into an incredible woman beating the odds of being killed. The whole thing was so enjoyable it cost me sleep because I often play audio books for 10-15 minutes after I go to bed. But kept restarting this cause couldn't wait to hear more. I will have to try more by this author to see if I have been missing out.

What other book might you compare The Witness to and why?

Hmmm nothing comes to mind. It was unique to me

What about Julia Whelan’s performance did you like?

Expressive but not over the top dramatization

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

As I said above, I easily could have and would enjoyed doing so. So yes to "wanted to"

Any additional comments?

Well worth it. And interesting enough I'm sure I will listen to it again in the future. Definitely a keeper.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Ummm. Since the book was highly recommended by friends when first came out, obviously many love it. Not entirely my cup of tea, but undoubtedly those that love historical romances would enjoy the recording

Not for what it was good for. An interesting enough, pleasant listen, good used for a bedtime story for adults.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

It would have changed the feel and character and not do it a service

Was In the Company of Cheerful Ladies worth the listening time?

Yes if used for a relaxing interlude/
