Not what I paid for…
Revisado: 12-10-24
If you’re Christian and want to hear why it’s best to raise your kids conservatively Christian then this book is for you. If you’re looking for real, meaty, or practical ways to help your kids develop gratitude, then there has to be a better book.
I’m very Christian, but I didn’t want that in this book. This book is just a collection of things the author feels strongly about and less focused on raising grateful children in an entitled world.

Historia
What if we understood faith crisis as part of a natural cycle of spiritual growth, a breaking open to make room for new life and new faith? In the new book Navigating Mormon Faith Crisis, Thomas McConkie draws on the study of adult development to provide a map for people who find themselves in faith crisis, fearing they might have taken a wrong turn in their spiritual progression.

Extremely Insightful
Revisado: 11-25-24
I chose this book for two reasons. One, I had been exposed to Thomas’s work before, and I was impressed with his articulate sincerity. I wanted more of that, and this book delivers. Two, “Faith Crisis” seems to be a hot topic amongst Latter-Day Saints that is somehow largely unaddressed in our formal meetings, especially in such a direct way. I wanted more on the idea. This book delivers there too. I would love to see these ideas or frameworks more widespread in church culture. This type of exploration has really helped me to somehow become both less confident in my “faith”, but more peacefully unshakable in my “Faith”.
