Historia
Darrow would have lived in peace, but his enemies brought him war. The Gold overlords demanded his obedience, hanged his wife, and enslaved his people. But Darrow is determined to fight back. Risking everything to transform himself and breach Gold society, Darrow has battled to survive the cutthroat rivalries that breed Society's mightiest warriors, climbed the ranks, and waited patiently to unleash the revolution that will tear the hierarchy apart from within.

A rough ride.

it completely snatched my weave. I love this series because Darrow-and every one else- is human; he does the same dumb stuff that we do, at times falls for the same tricks because he wants to believe in something better or at times easier-we all do it. People want heroes to only fail once but the truth is, if we’re being honest, we all have times where we are insecure, fall into prideful delusions and make dumb decisions out of habit, even though we know better. Its disappointing, but It made all the drama more real for me. Kind of reminds me of my feelings when watching game of thrones. I like the world the author built and I found this book series to be one of the most entertaining series I’ve read in a while. I find the rise to be energizing and the fall(s) to be sobering. Its a reality check. War and revolution are not just glory and conquest and people change for better and worse. Verdict? I love it.

Historia
Sixteen-year-old Keturah tells vibrant stories of her own imagining to the folk of her small village. Her talent for painting beautiful pictures with words is impressive indeed, but will it be enough to save her life when she becomes lost in the deep, dark forest?

so good

I'm not even a big fan of love stories, but this is so simple and satisfying. Actually, it seems simple but it is masterfully told. Something to enjoy for youths and adults alike in my opinion.
