Historia
The story of the 1969 New York Mets’ season has long since entered sports lore as one of the most remarkable of all time. But beyond the “miracle” is a compelling narrative of an unlikely collection of players and the hallowed manager who inspired them to greatness.

A Must Listen for Mets Fans
Revisado: 10-05-23
Great listen. Very well done recounting of the series, the players, the atmosphere and especially the backstories of players interwoven into it. Really enjoyed it, and a great job by Gary Cohen telling the story. No one else - except maybe Howie Rose - could’ve done it.

Hilarious and Disturbing
Revisado: 11-01-22
Andy Borowitz’s book is a must read for anyone that’s lived through recent political events. It is simultaneously hilarious and disturbing, as Andy outlines the Republican (mostly) descent into ignorance and oppressive, hateful tactics.

Historia
Millions of Americans have lost confidence in our political and economic system. After years of stagnant wages, volatile job markets, and an unwillingness by those in power to deal with profound threats such as climate change, there is a mounting sense that the system is fixed, serving only those select few with enough money to secure a controlling stake. With the characteristic clarity and passion that has made him a central civil voice, Robert B. Reich shows how wealth and power have interacted to install an elite oligarchy, eviscerate the middle class, and undermine democracy.

Robert Reich is one of the great minds of our time. This book lays out, in plain terms, how our political and economic systems are broken, the effects of this, and what must be done about it. It's a call to action!

A profound new rendering of the struggle by African Americans for equality after the Civil War and the violent counterrevolution that resubjugated them, as seen through the prism of the war of images and ideas that have left an enduring racist stain on the American mind.
