This story brings us a few more details to stories many of us thought we fully understood. It also gives us an update to the things Jackie has been up to since he left. For any old school Stern Show fans who may not have liked Jackie while he was a part of the show, I hope that after you read/listen to this book, you can at least respect Jackie for the choices he made. Also, for any who only ever took Howard's side of the story as absolute fact, can come to recognize Howard (and Don Buchwald) as the true money hungry and evil individuals in this tale.

Jackie was given a bum deal, he was/is a great joke writer. I knew that he sold jokes to Rodney Dangerfield, but I didn't know that some of those jokes actually made it into the Rapin' Rodney song.

Overall, I enjoyed the book, Jackie narrates the story well, he tells it in a way that doesn't try to garner sympathy, or totally tries to paint himself as a complete victim, the story isn't just one long rant of a guy bitching about his problems, Jackie admits to the things he may have did wrong, some self reflection, reevaluation of his life choices, and it's also nice to hear that Jackie was able to get at least ONE of the people who screwed him, to ACTUALLY ADMIT THAT THEY SCREWED JACKIE.

Gilbert and Frank had done such a great service to old and all but forgotten Hollywood. Directors, actors, voice actors, television hosts etc. Having had several nonagenarians on the show throughout the years like Carl Reiner, Bill Macey, John Astin, Art Metrano, Peter Marshall, and Sonny Fox to name a few. Frank and Gilbert gave us all a true gift by giving those golden age icons one more day to share their wisdom and knowledge, and experiences. People often give Howard Stern praise for his interviews, but many of Gilbert and Frank's guest were truly inspiring, and they were all beautiful. There were many laughs had on the show, and stories that would give you chills. I CAN NOT praise Gilbert and Frank enough for what they did.

Thank you.
