There are occasionally stories that you just don’t want to see the end come and when it does, you’re very sad. This is one of those. I could just listen to it forever and ever and ever I really enjoyed this greatly.

Yet another fine example of the artistry of Dean Koontz. Don’t be put off by some of the reviews regarding the narrator. I thought he was as wonderful as David Aaron Baker was for the Odd Thomas books. Yes, he sounds young, but the character is young.
This was an absolute joy to listen to.

I think Jocko is by far my favorite character in this series! I would adopt him myself!
As usual, Mr. Koontz delivers another wonderful story and series. I have always listed he and Mr. King as my all time favorite authors, but Mr. Koontz is my #1. I can always count on him to place me at the edge of my seat and leave me satisfied at the end with a sense of hope.

I absolutely adore Lovecraft and was thrilled to find such a complete collection. However, they are stories of terror and eldrich things. The narrator delivers his reading in a singsong manner redolent of a dandy reciting poetry of romance to a lover. NOT enjoyable at all.
Had I been listening to poetry then sure, but not Lovecraft. And his insistence on reading every vowel in a word…. Ancient is read as anciant, sculptor read as sculptoor. Annoying.

I'm typically a horror fan, classic sci-fi, fantasy and old time radio shows gal. Mysteries never engage me. At least, not until this one!. I absolutely love this story. It is well written, wonderfully narrated and had me sucked in all the way to the end. Well done!!
