Long wait for a poor book.

I have had this book in my collection for some time and have always wanted to read it. However i cheated and purchased this audio book to get it done. From the first 2min of the audio I was turned off from this book. There is secondary music in the back ground, which made it hard to hear Michael York as he delivered the lines. Then at other times in the book the back ground music was too loud and it distracted me from the performances. In addition, perhaps it was the way it was written or transcribe into an audio version, but this book sounded like it was written over a weekend. There is little to no character development, no back grounds given for the main character that I felt i could connect with and even the romance was poor and lacked detail. I am a fan of Ann Rice and will always been. I have read here Vampire Chronicles several times over, but this book and story feels like she didn't put much effort into it. I would avoid this series.

No one likes to be told “no”. No one likes to have their flaws and bad behaviors exposed. No one seeks to be miserable and angry. If you are or ever were in a place to want change in your life, help with a relationship, advice on conflicts at work, or gain perspective on how to raise a child, this book has it all. I was 1/2 way through and I decided to purchase all his others. This is worth it. Enjoy.

Full of very amazing stuff. I managed to get through it, however I'm no scientist and probably actually understood 10% of it. That being said it did give me some things to think about. I only gave a low score because of the complexity of the material. Someone who better understands it might give higher marks.

I would enjoy listening to this audio book again because the messages Felicia Day presents is an inspiration to anyone who is searching for examples of following passions.
What was one of the most memorable moments of You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost)?
I had been a fan of Felicia's YouTube show, "The Guild" for several years. It was surprising to learn just how much of her own blood and sweat went into bringing the service to life. In addition I was humbled to see her example of what being a chronic profectionist can do to the human body.
