Visual Visceral Horror!
Revisado: 03-13-24
This book is not for the faint of heart! It is packed with gripping visual scenes of horror, really ramping up in the second half.
I particularly enjoyed the author's descriptive similies, and thought the narrator did a great job. Especially switching between the different characters and ages.
Thoroughly recommended for anyone with an interest in horror, splatterpunk or similar!

Bombs are dropping, and dead people are trying to eat him. But Weller just can’t seem to let go of the very human conspiracy that ruined his life before the world went to hell. Lucky for him, the zombie apocalypse has brought out some other undead fiends—the kind that have been living off of humanity’s scraps for centuries.

Good story with great narration.
Revisado: 03-05-24
I was expecting a straight zombie apocalypse story from the title/cover but got something very different. It was a pleasant surprise :)
The characters and overall plot were good. While the main bad guy showed up quite late in the story, and the many POVs tended to go off topic from time to time, this was easily made up for by quality writing and likeable main characters.
The narration was phenomenal. I'd give it ten stars if I could. He went from a little girl to a grisled cop seamlessly. I've been unable to stop thinking "This is Bullshit," in his voice for days now.

Decent stories, just not for me.
Revisado: 09-23-23
Couldn't finish this book.
The stories were okay as a work of fiction. Unfortunately, they were all entirely anecdotal or pseudoscientific theories that I couldn't take seriously as 'true mysteries'. Another type of listener would probably love it.
The narration was fine except for all the words read without contractions that made it sound robotic and was a bit distracting.
