In this book, Gregory Diehl unpacks the intricacies of attraction and what one does for chosen reasons and results in relationships. His perspective is well thought out based on his keen observations of others and his own personal experiences. He does an exceptional job describing his exploration of personal attraction to the opposite sex, plainly laying out his thinking as it pertains to depth of attraction level, his unique approach to understanding needs and desires, and what one's distinct & personal "ideal" is.

I've appreciated reading Diehl's perspective on this topic. At first, it seemed as though our points of view clashed in certain areas. However, I often find that two points of view can simply be individuals peering out two different windows overlooking the same back yard, as it were. After reading Diehl's book, I can honestly say that some of my views have been broadened and my perspective has taken on a wider scope.

It's fair to say he knows what he wants, and I think there will be pleasant surprises waiting for him throughout his relationship(s), as well.

Clarifying and Education

I’ve really enjoyed reading this book. I had very specific questions about my prayer life. Dutch answered and challenged me in my perspective about prayer in general as well as my personal prayer life. I was asking God all my questions, and He led me to this book. After reading, and rereading certain chapters and parts of chapters, it’s obvious God led me to this book to answer my specific questions. I now have a clearer vision of how to approach the vision/assignment I believe God has given me. I could not be more grateful.

Engaging & Relaxing

I really enjoyed listening this book! The storyline was both engaging and relaxing. The reader has a gentle and calming voice. Listening to this book was very much like coming home to a hug at the end of a long day.

Meticulous, Magical, & Marvelously Written

The details in this riveting story propel one forward and draw the reader into a world of fantasy and adventure. The author is meticulous in painstakingly painting descriptions, thoughts, and emotions of her characters as the fantasy unfolds to reveal new possibilities in the lives of the main characters, Leoshine & Avram, leaving the reader hungry and eager for the next chapter. No details are too small, and every detail paints a necessary picture of this very different world. The story itself is exceptional in creativity, just as the characters are relatable. Magnificently written, I'm eager to read book two!

Informative & Applicable

While there are many books on prayer, I love how Dr. Lutzer's wording is concise and to the point without sacrificing depth and insight. There were several places throughout this short work where I returned to a previous chapter or section to replay (I bought the audible version) what I needed to hear again —not for lack of clarity on the author's part, but for the sake of not wanting to miss anything in the application. I've marked several areas where I've clipped sections and taken notes. A Practical Guide for Praying Parents is an easy read and well worth any time spent indulging in the wisdom of its pages.

Insightful & Encouraging

Praying Women is a practical, insightful, and inspirational book on prayer. Sheila covers our identity in Christ, how to approach God in prayer and what to say. I've been encouraged and moved to spend more quality time having conversations with God throughout my day, in the moment to moment living. Sheila shares her wisdom through experience in easy verbiage and relatable stories from her own life. I appreciate her transparency and authenticity throughout the pages of this book.

I've been a fan of Sheila Walsh since the 80's, and although I've never met her personally, sometimes I feel as though we've met several years ago and kept in touch like distant relatives. This is to her credit as she allows God to radiate His faithfulness and love in her life as an author and public speaker. I recommend Praying Women to anyone looking for a personal testimony of a life of prayer and desiring one themselves.

Inspiring & Challenging

Loved this book! It's challenged my desire for a deeper trust in God. It's so interesting. The author discusses reasons for why we, as Christians, tend to stay in the comforts and security of our "boats." He discusses fear from a psychological point of view in its natural and God-given state and reasons for healthy fear. He also addresses unhealthy fear & anxiety and how to combat it work trust & faith in God. I love his descriptions of different personalities types and why some people can be more prone to fear. His examples and lessons are taken from people throughout Scripture. It's an incredibly intriguing perspective!!! Totally inspiring for me!

Informative & Powerful

I absolutely loved this book! I've marked certain pages to go back and review. This will not be my only time to reference this book & use it as a resource. It is packed full of great training on how to go about praying on a deeper level for specifically targeted areas in life. What I most appreciate is that the author was able to provide so many scriptural examples and reasons why to pray on this level. If there hadn't been much Scripture on which to base what was said, I'd chalk this book up to mere opinion. But with the Scriptures as reference and testimonials for examples, I'm moved to grow in wisdom and ask God to teach me how to pray more intentionally with awareness in the areas He's called me to pray over, for, & against. I definitely recommend this book for anyone who is seeking to learn what it means to do spiritual warfare and how to pray for God's will to be done here on earth as it is in heaven.

Well Written & Beautifully Read

The author expresses her journey through grief most explicably. She shares her approach to coping with personal devastation through such explicit thoughts & feelings, it's difficult to not feel as though one is walking alongside and thinking or feeling the same heart wrenching experiences simultaneously. There's a part of me that wanted to reach through the pages and hug her on some occasions and just sit quietly next to her on others. Vanessa Redgrave performed brilliantly in the reading of this short piece.

Chronicles of Narnia

I've read these books over & over as a child. Now, listening to them through Audible, I've enjoyed them just as much as I adored them as a youngster. These may very well be my favourite books of all time, even now.
