Simple and basic

I didn’t dislike the book but I was hoping for a bit more in depth info on specific plants. If you are just starting out learning about this topic, this is a good basic book to dip your toes in.

Amazing narration
Revisado: 02-18-23
I have to say, the narration really makes this worth listening to. The plot was ok, the angsty mental rumination and lack of decision making and problem solving was frustrating. Overall it was enjoyable because the narrator was spot on.

A good follow up
Revisado: 02-13-23
In general, I liked the story although Russell did drive me a bit crazy at times with him being so neurotic. I would have liked to have more of Kevin in this story though. The narration was so well done.

Historia
In Oceanport, New England's most gossipy small town, people wonder about Griff. Such a cute omega can't possibly be satisfied without a proper mate they say. Yet he'll be 30 soon and as far as they know he's never been with anyone! The truth is that Griff has given up on finding love...that is until his childhood best friend moves back to town and sets his heart on fire. When Dean's firefighter career is sidetracked by a tragic accident, returning to his roots to mend seems like a good move. It gives him a chance to breathe, as well as a chance to reconnect with his oldest friend.

Fantastic narration
Revisado: 02-15-21
This book was a bit slow for me. Especially considering the age of the protagonists, I would have liked a bit more maturity and depth in the story. What made this audiobook worth listening to was John Solo's narration. He hit each of the characters perfectly. So if you want sweet, fluffy and low-angst with a brilliant narration, go for it.

Historia
Jake was my best friend. My first crush. The love of my life. Until he screwed up. We both did, really. Now I tell everyone that I’m over him. I tell them that it doesn’t matter, because I’m an independent omega, out to change the world. The truth is that I miss him. The bigger truth is that I want to lose myself in him, but I’m afraid to lose myself in the process.

Sweet and low-angst
Revisado: 01-25-21
This is a sweet, low-angst story about an Alpha and his Omega, lots of misunderstandings, some secrets and a second chance for an HEA. The story itself was entertaining and kept me going. And it was perfect for listening to while making dinner etc. But John Solo, the narrator, really did a fantastic job bringing all the characters to life, especially during some of the more emotional parts. I really enjoyed it.

Short and sweet
Revisado: 01-03-21
This was a cute and sweet story. Lucas, an Omega hiding his status so he can pursue a law career to advance Omega Rights, and Adam, an Alpha who is still searching for what he wants to do with his life. The story started out a bit slow, and I would have liked a bit more story line on them having a relationship before the "I love you's" but it didn't deter too much from the story.
If you want something sweet and entertaining, this story will fit the bill.
John Solo's narration was spot-on, as always, perfectly capturing the characters and feels of the story.

Historia
I came out to my parents when I was 15. Sadly, this has never stopped my mother from finding lovely young women for me to date. My sister suggests I bring my own date to her destination wedding. Problem is, I don't know how to find dates. The only man I've spoken to recently is my roommate. My way too hot - straight - roommate. My sister says I should ask him to play my boyfriend. It'll be fun, she says.

A sweet love story
Revisado: 12-29-20
This was such a sweet love story, friends to lovers, bi-curious/first time gay tropes included. I typically like my stories a bit darker, or a bit more angsty, but it was a great listen thanks to the amazing narrator John Solo. He did an amazing job bringing the characters to life with just the right amount of humor. I loved how he was able to make the sexy times sexy, and the sweet times sweet. And you have to love Aunt Rosie and Toto, the dog! Definitely recommend this if you are in the mood for a sweet, low-angst story.

Historia
It's 1946, and the dust of World War Two has just begun to settle. When famous archaeologist Rufus Denby returns to London, his life and reputation are as devastated as the city around him. He's used to the most glamorous of excavations, but can't turn down the offer of a job in rural Sussex. It's a refuge, and the only means left to him of scraping a living. With nothing but his satchel and a mongrel dog he's rescued from a bomb site, he sets out to investigate an ancient church in the sleepy village of Droyton.

One of the best this year
Revisado: 12-07-20
This was a beautiful story set in a time and a place not often seen for this time period. The setting, Sussex, was just gorgeous and the writer and narrator did a gorgeous job of conveying it. A great cast of characters, brought to life by impeccable narration, a beautiful love story when being gay had serious consequences, and of course archeology and magic. Well worth the time to listen to this story and one of my favorites for 2020.
