Author Avery Washington's style of poetry is compassionate and thought provoking. His childhood experiences, being raised by a single mother, have created this huge heart he has for women and children. Avery Washington's gift of words in Mother reads as a universal anthem for respecting the beautiful women in our lives. He has created a unique platform to pour out his love for not only his family, but for other families as well, setting an example that men can revere women without being regarded as weak.

Where does Mother: A Heartfelt Poetic Tribute Celebrating Single Mothers rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Being a single Mom, I don't have alot of time so this is one of a handful of audible books I've actually enjoyed and finished.
What did you like best about this story?
I could relate to many of the poems. I especially enjoyed #9 "They Say", #17 "Woman Of Faith", #3 "Truth Be Told", and #1 "Mother".
What about Ronald Clarkson’s performance did you like?
I think he did a great job. I enjoyed it.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I could relate and appreciate most of the poems in the book. They made me smile and reminisce
Any additional comments?
This would probably make a great gift for Mother's Day, birthdays, and even Valentine's Day.
