Historia
Before 2012, I had come to the conclusion that the life I had dreamt of living just wouldn’t happen. I was sad about it but I thought, “I guess that’s just the way it is”. Well, sad is a tiny little word. Let me start off this audiobook real. I was depressed, without hope or energy, full of regret, anger, and yes, sadness. I didn’t yet know about the big verbs. I didn’t know how to ask, I didn’t dare decide to create. I wouldn’t have known how to meditate if it sparked me in the face. This is me reaching out my hand to you. This is Repossible.

Excruciating
Revisado: 06-18-21
Just awful. It was like he was making it up as he went, and doing a poor job at that. Narration was so weird and slow and overdramatic, I tried putting it on 1.5X pace, but it was still bad. Save your money.

Historia
Twenty-five years ago, I set off on my own with nothing but a folding table and a phone. For years, real success eluded me. I told people I was doing well when I was often on the edge of being broke. Millions of people face the same plight - including my beloved brother-in-law, who died tragically before he could fix his money problems. That was my wake-up call. I knew I needed more money, but I didn't know how to get it. I only turned things around by getting honest with myself, taking responsibility, and figuring out some practical solutions. I'm going to show you how to do the same.

Fine for if you're already doing well
Revisado: 10-04-19
Manero blows through the topic of "how to get out of broke" pretty quickly, with vague recommendations like "stop spending" and "sell stuff."
He seems more interested in telling you how to become really rich AFTER you've gotten out of broke.
If you are already doing well and want to get really wealthy, this would be an okay book, although I find his macho attitude a little irritating. But if you need more specific advice on how to get out of debt and manage your money, I would recommend You Need a Budget by Jesse Meacham. A lot more practical information in a less bombastic style.
