Tangled up with these characters
Revisado: 02-08-25
These characters were really easy to root for, they were believable and the whole storyline got you thinking of how you might handle such a glitch. I really enjoyed the characters and the story.
Side note: please if this ever becomes a limited series on something like Netflix-we need one whole episode from her point of view and the next to be from Henry’s and for it to follow the book in that manner! Because I would hate for them to cut out any of their love story!

Historia
Rosalind Franklin has always been an outsider - brilliant, but different. Whether working at the laboratory she adored in Paris or toiling at a university in London, she feels closest to the science, those unchanging laws of physics and chemistry that guide her experiments. When she is assigned to work on DNA, she believes she can unearth its secrets. Rosalind knows if she just takes one more X-ray picture - one more after thousands - she can unlock the building blocks of life.

I held off reading it because I knew what was coming
Revisado: 01-25-25
So I held off reading this book because I knew what was coming all throughout it… a woman under appreciated… and other things… but it was beautifully told. Worth reading, of course! I just had to be in the right mindset.

Inhaled this book
Revisado: 11-17-24
What a great trilogy. Book two left you hanging, and this one kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Needless to say, I flew through it. I’m 34, but wanted to preview these books before I gifted them to my nephew who is in middle school. They kept me thoroughly entertained, and I can’t wait to eventually one day read them with my son (currently 2).

Historia
Ever since Prue McKeel returned home from the Impassable Wilderness after rescuing her brother from the malevolent Dowager Governess, life has been pretty dull. School holds no interest for her, and her new science teacher keeps getting on her case about her dismal test scores and daydreaming in class. Her mind is constantly returning to the verdant groves and sky-tall trees of Wildwood, where her friend Curtis still remains as a bandit-in-training. But all is not well in that world. Dark assassins with mysterious motives conspire to settle the scores of an unknown client....

Great Cliff Hanger
Revisado: 11-11-24
I enjoyed the first book, but took a little break before getting to this one because the first one was pretty complete. But, it’s fun to dive back into this magical world… I actually missed the female narrator for a little bit, but got used to and enjoyed hearing the author voice his own book. The final chapters really were riveting and I can’t wait to listen to the final book.

Inclusion of Prayer
Revisado: 11-04-24
The depth and length she took going into the topic of prayer was really refreshing, encouraging and thought provoking. I just finished “Wild Things”, which she mentions quite a bit, and I really loved “Wild Things”, but just the section on prayer in this book made it stand out from other parenting books and definitely from “Wild Things”.

No one’s ever gone in – or at least returned to tell of it. So begins an adventure that will take Prue and her friend, Curtis, deep into the Impassable Wilderness. There they uncover a secret world in the midst of violent upheaval - a world full of warring creatures, peaceable mystics, and powerful figures with the darkest intentions.

Good Story, Listened Sped Up
Revisado: 07-26-24
I really enjoyed the book. It’ll be a good one for when my son gets older, till then, now I know it will make a good gift for my nephews because it’s so adventurous.
Another reviews on here have complained about the narrator. I honestly didn’t notice the “pauses” folks were complaining about, then realized I listen to books at a faster speed and that made it far less noticeable. So maybe try that if her cadence bothers you.

Sweet and Approachable
Revisado: 04-23-24
Her Instagram is full of satire, but this book is like getting to have a conversation with the real her. Sweet and approachable, she puts all things crunchy into a realistic perspective and kindly gives some launching points. With sincerity and kindness she presents the idea of becoming crunchy, or becoming even more crunchy than your were before, and as she does she tells funny and heartwarming, true life stories. I love that her husband wraps up each chapter. From their instagram, sometimes you might think he’s just along for the ride, but it’s clear in this book that they are a wonderful team. I finished it in a few days and would recommend it for any “crunchy” person or anyone who is “crunchy curious”!

Historia
Many years ago, Claire was named Head Librarian of the Unwritten Wing - a neutral space in Hell where all the stories unfinished by their authors reside. Her job consists mainly of repairing and organizing books, but also of keeping an eye on restless stories that risk materializing as characters and escaping the library. When a Hero escapes from his book and goes in search of his author, Claire must track and capture him with the help of former muse and current assistant Brevity and nervous demon courier Leto.

Twists and turns
Revisado: 01-29-24
I saw a bunch of good reviews on good book, which really drew me in. Then I saw one that said it didn’t stay true to the description of following unwritten tales… but I think that’s what made it interesting, it wasn’t locked in to just what you’d expect. Lots of fun twists and turns.

Perfect Ending… or beginning
Revisado: 07-12-23
The perfect way to end a tale… although for the main characters that survived, it was only the beginning wasn’t it? The first book, I finished in three days, and this one four. Something about these stories, the relatable essence of the characters, the horrifying creatures, all of it, had me unable to stop diving back in to find out what happened.
