Books and Chapters Indexed & Chapters in Order
Revisado: 04-03-25
Other reviewers said that the books and chapters were not indexed and that the chapters were out of order. That problem apparently has been corrected. All of the books are listed individually as the main headings. Each book's chapters are listed underneath the main heading. When using the chapter drop down to move to another chapter, the chapters of the current book are highlighted. This form of indexing is something I had not seen in any audible book until early 2025. In the three books I've listened to, the chapters are all in order, so I think it's safe to assume that all of the chapters are in order.

You won't find another book like it
Revisado: 07-05-22
Highly repetitive, but the underlying musical theme is consistent and holds it all together. However, the end was very predictable.

Historia
Lord Dawlish is a well-liked and generous man. But he is poor, the poorest of his rank in the British Isles. His fiancée will not marry a man of modest means, so Dawlish decides to make his fortune any way possible. Romance, golf, the theater, and mad monkeys are all part of this merry mix-up that has more witty remarks and sharp retorts in one minute than most people could dream up in a lifetime.

Good story, annoying narration
Revisado: 07-23-21
Although not one of Wodehouse's best, it's still a good story. However, the narrator was very annoying. He stuck an extra 'r' in so many words. For example, saw became sore, thought became thort and banana became bananer. This was not just for some characters, but for everything he read, including American characters and the narrator. I suggest listening to the book by another narrator.

Historia
The Times has announced, much to Bertie's astonishment, the news of his engagement to the beautiful Bobbie Wickham. But worse is to come....Uncle Tom's antique silver cow-creamer has gone missing; Kipper Herring has libelled his and Bertie's former headmaster; leading British psychiatrist Sir Roderick Glossop is posing as a butler; and Aunt Dahlia's masterly French chef, Anatole, is once again becoming a pawn in a terrible power struggle.

Good book, but horrid narration
Revisado: 06-09-20
An enjoyable, typical Wodehouse story. However the narrator portrays Bertie Wooster with a slight speech impediment: a hesitation or mild stutter. (You don't hear it in the preview.) This makes the story unlistenable. Unfortunately, the only other version of this book from Aubible has problems too. It is narrated by Frederick Davidson, usually my favorite Wodehouse narrator. However he had voice problems in this book. I don't know which version of this book has the worst narration.

Historia
Most of us have no idea what's really going on inside our heads. Yet brain scientists have uncovered details every business leader, parent, and teacher should know - such as the brain's need for physical activity to work at its best. How do we learn? What exactly do sleep and stress do to our brains? Why is multi-tasking a myth? Why is it so easy to forget - and so important to repeat new information? Is it true that men and women have different brains?

This is not the text of the published book!
Revisado: 12-07-11
I was suspicious about a quote from an interview between Mike Wallace and Frank Lloyd at 6:10 of Chapter 2. It quotes Frank Lloyd Wright as saying to tear down St. Patrick's Cathedral. Hmm... I looked it up in the printed copy of the book by searching the text on Amazon and Google Books. It does not have that quote. In fact, the interview is very different. I check with other sources; the printed copy, not this audiobook, matches the actual interview. I listed for the next 2 minutes and found several more things that had changed. Some were facts, some were grammar. A date was changed, "like" was changed to "such as", etc. This audio book is apparently from a draft before it was fact-checked and grammar-checked. Misquoting Frank Lloyd Wright as saying to tear down St. Patrick's Cathedral might direclty relate to what the author is saying, but if the author has that wrong, what else is wrong in the rest of the book? Can the listeners trust this unfact-checked and unproofed draft of the book? I can't. I want accuracy over ease, so I guess I'll have to read the printed copy.
