Thoroughly Enjoyed Book1 Ready for Book2
Revisado: 11-14-23
I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story was interesting and fast paced. The narrator was excellent. Even if you don't consider yourself a LitRPG fan you will enjoy this book. I hope the 2nd book will be coming to Audible soon as it was just published in print.

Historia
The dust had barely settled after my skirmish at Galloway Asylum, and there I was looking forward to some downtime, maybe even a promotion. What I got instead was a covert assignment and an urgent warning from on high: Get out of the city. So I did. And after a quick, or should I say bad, trip down the wrong side of memory lane, I found myself holing up in a sleepy rural town on a strictly cloak and dagger mission: Copperwood Falls, a haunted town where the woods whisper at night, and demons come calling. A place where the shadows are restless, and almost nothing is as it seems.

Enjoying the Series!!
Revisado: 07-29-18
First I want to say I did receive a copy of this book for free in order for me to provide a review. Having said that you can check my reviews to know I am honest regardless of a free book or not. In this case I am pleased to provide a VERY POSITIVE review. Now having received the second book and having not read the first in the series I decided to get the first book on my own so I would not be missing things by jumping into the middle of things. I was very happy to have enjoyed the first book of the series and was definitely looking forward book two. I am glad to say I was not disappointed. If you enjoyed oth UFseries such as the Dresden Files or the Alex Verus books then you will enjoy this series as well.
If I had to give a short description I would say Dresden mashed together with Gaimans Neverwhere.

Any additional comments?
I enjoyed this book and would listen to the follow up books. Perfect type of book when I need something not too heavy as a breather from an epic book or series of books. The main characters were enjoyable and like-able. They should have skipped one of the cups of tea and just hooked up however. Would have been more believable for Rose to do that at some point on the adventure.
Unlike in the Dan Brown books the characters seem to have no trouble making new ground breaking discoveries by just calling one of a group of contacts who can get them instant access to anywhere. Seemed a little too convenient when used to move the plot along multiple times. Enjoyed the concept of the search for the special item and the narrator did and excellent job voicing the book. All in all a good diversion.
I would like to thank the author as I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review.

World and plot set up for series.
Revisado: 03-22-16
Any additional comments?
This novella is a quick introduction to the world concept and the Main characters. The story is fairly formulaic. The two main characters grow up as brothers one the Prince the other adopted. They are are inseparable until the love interest enters the scene as the Princes betrothed. Other brother covets her and this opens his mind to the whispers of the Dark. One thing leads to another and it's Bad brother gone wild. Now having said that this is fairly straightforward fantasy there is enough in this short world build to suggest the following series may have some interesting twists in store and so I would not be adverse to listening to the next 1st book of the series."This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of Audiobook Blast."

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
This book definitely lived up to its intended purpose. It is fun to listen to in short bursts when you are in the mood (or want to get in the mood), but definitely not something I would listen to in one sitting. None of the stories are too long which makes you look forward to the next wicked little gem.
What three words best describe the narrators’s performance?
Like an airhead
Do you think Slutty Vixen Variety: 30 Hardcore Erotica's needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Can there ever be too many hot, sexy stories? This is not a book that has a great deal of depth but it is a fun sexy read. Some of the stories are better than others, but there is something for everyone, whether you are into MF, menage any other combination.

I have to say I really enjoyed this film noir meets super heroes meets nazi vampires book. It reminded me of the old movie serials in all the right ways. The narrator did an excellent job, although his female voices could have been a little more feminine. This is the perfect book when you want a quick breather or change of pace. I would absolutely listen to further books if there are more to come.

Enjoyable Quick Listen
Revisado: 02-18-16
What did you love best about Prodigal?
I really enjoyed the narrator. She was easy to listen to and did an excellent job voicing the characters. I would gladly listen to a book read by her anytime, I also think the author has some truly interesting concepts such as rifting (time travel).
Any additional comments?
Overall I enjoyed the book it was a quick listen and the narrator was excellent. The story almost seems to be a really good shortened version or outline of what could be an even better book. More flesh on the bones would really help. For example the main character and her group of friends are talking about going out on their own and the next thing you know it they are moving into their new base. I would like to have seen more details around how they managed to get away from the Hollowers? Was there conflict? Did they have to sneak out? There are numerous leaps in the story line that could and probably should be fleshed out. All in all a nice diversion and an enjoyable read.

Historia
Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....

Fun way to get into a new series.
Revisado: 03-12-12
What did you love best about Hounded?
This is a really entertaining series and the first book really sets up the events and characters for the next two books. The author obviously did his research on the Celtic gods and it made me more interested in the mythology. I especially loved the author's humor peppered throughout the book. There were times I was laughing out loud with some of the comments and especially the conversations Atticus has with his dog. I couldn't wait to listen to the next books in the series.
What other book might you compare Hounded to and why?
I think fans of the Dresden files would really enjoy this book. It has a similar feel in how it builds as well as the sarcastic humor of the main character.
What does Luke Daniels bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Luke Daniels does an amazing job reading this book. He is really able to capture the characters in his voices, especially Oberon. I feel like I can really picture the characters and their reactions based on his naration and it makes the funny things Oberon says even more hillarious.
