More message over content and story
Revisado: 01-11-25
Not everything has to be slap you in the face with the modern message. It is almost as if editors read the book and force the author to show horn current affairs into a story thousands of years distant. Not for me. Good luck.

Historia
When quiet Orrin and his extroverted best friend, Daniel, were transported to a strange RPG-based world, not much changed between them. Daniel became a hero of legend, while Orrin remained his unobtrusive shadow. Only when they faced a particularly lethal foe did Orrin step out of his comfort zone and display his true worth—with powers he didn't know he had. Of course, Daniel got all the glory, but Orrin doesn't mind. He's just happy they're both still alive.

Narrator as always was great
Revisado: 08-29-24
More DEI and woke talking points trying to be disguised as entertainment. Makes no sense and feels shoe horned in by an editor. The message is deliberately placed and is so disruptive that it takes you out of the story trying to understand why it’s so important. Example of chattel slavery taking place in a fictional world just to illustrate what a “good guy” the hero is while giving no context or history about why it exists in the fictional realm. Trying to equate race relation with real world politics makes no sense in a fictional world with its own unique history. You can focus on themes of right and wrong without the virtue signaling. I do feel the author was forced to put many of these talking points in just based on the flow of the story. Not for me.

Math
Revisado: 08-27-24
Not for me. Seems like someone who loves math and wants to show off how much they love math. Story was disjointed and was prone to having to fix power imbalances. Editor shoe horned in obvious DEI content. Made no sense in the story and felt like it was put it just to meet the woke bar.

I guess all modern writing is about representation and who can virtue signal the most. just done with reading political propaganda books that try to pass themselves off as fantasy.

Historia
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

Solid Story Solid Performance
Revisado: 08-11-23
The Good? Love the narrator. Great use of voices and understanding tone. Story was solid and entertaining.
The Bad? Author is obviously writing some personal philosophy and justifying his own beliefs with arguments that are naive and untested. Liberal use of Deus ex machina. Hey, I need a hole, I just happen to have some acid, hey! I need a non magical scrying device, I just happen to have one commissioned a few weeks back and just now remembered it. I feel this is more editorial than author though. Any editor worth their salt would have caught many of these issues. Don't get me started on the redundant word usages.
Good author, Good Narrator, Find a good editor and leave your politics out or at least don't make it a simpletons argument.

The book was amazing. great continuation of the Saga.
