Enjoyable & refreshing
Revisado: 02-07-23
After a season of not so much fun, it was great to be reminded about the importance of fun. I particularly enjoyed the chapters about hobbies & being an amateur. So much of the world is pushing us to create the next income, I’m thankful she disarmed that notion.

Historia
"Sixty years ago I found myself distracted," Eugene Peterson writes. "A chasm had developed between the way I was preaching from the pulpit and my deepest convictions on what it meant to be a pastor."
And so began Peterson's journey to live and teach a life of congruence - congruence between preaching and living, between what we do and the way we do it, between what is written in scripture and how we live out that truth.
Nothing captures the biblical foundation for this journey better than Peterson's teachings over his 29 years as a pastor.

Must read for 30 year old’s
Revisado: 11-14-17
Found this so helpful as someone in my mid-30’s. It gives solid context along with very tangible action steps for anyone wanting to develop whether you are in the church or corporate world. It makes me feel more confident that I can be incredibly effective in my current corporate role. Thanks for writing it Clay!
