Historia
More than two centuries after World War III poisoned the planet, the final bastion of humanity lives on massive airships circling the globe in search of a habitable area to call home. Aging and outdated, most of the ships plummeted back to Earth long ago. The only thing keeping the two surviving lifeboats in the sky are Hell Divers - men and women who risk their lives by skydiving to the surface to scavenge for parts the ships desperately need.

Mid tier story but fun listen
Revisado: 07-25-22
Decent story overall. Some sub plots seem either rushed, not explored enough, or completely irrelevant. It is a fun post apocalyptic sci-fi read. Characters are not super well developed and the only semi interesting character is the main protagonist. Narration is decent, not terrible, but also not the dramatic energetic narration that's going to continue to bring you back. Solid 3 star rating for me.

Hardly Worth A Listen
Revisado: 08-21-20
The story is so broken that it's virtually impossible to follow events at certain points. Something is happening leading up to something big then suddenly it jumps ahead to a completely separate point. The narration is subpar and doesn't help the brokenness of the story whatsoever. Easily the worst narrator in the series is selected to read this book and "Centurion".

Weakest book in the series
Revisado: 08-17-20
Last time I heard narration this bad I was listening to R. R. Martin's Game of Thrones series. I hope this was an abridged version of the book cause if not I'm very disappointed in Scarrow with this title. Everything was rushed. There was little or no time to build anything up. Easily the weakest book in the series thus far.

Great read, but this whole series would've been better if Johnathan Keeble were the narrator.

The story is seen through the eyes of Uhtred, a dispossessed nobleman, who is captured as a child by the Danes and then raised by them so that, by the time the Northmen begin their assault on Wessex, Alfred's kingdom and the last territory in English hands, Uhtred almost thinks of himself as a Dane.

The biggest problem with this series is that Johnathan Keeble doesn't narrate every title. Big disappointment that.
