Over explanation
Revisado: 01-18-24
The story was good because it was insightful answer some questions and addressed a lot of things. But this book could have been shorter with night the over explanation trying to set a scene, story timeframe or feeling of the author. I almost didn’t finish the book because I would zone with the unnecessary verbiage.

Historia
Long before Tameka Foster Raymond was known for her high-profile marriage and drama-fueled divorce, she lived a vibrant life as a self-made success in the fashion world, curating the wardrobes and images of many of today’s award-winning entertainers. In this honest, sincere, witty, and at times gut-wrenching memoir, Tameka opens up about her childhood influences, coming of age in Oakland, and losing her first love without losing her decorum, dignity, or her ability to dream.

Great story
Revisado: 09-13-23
A great way to learn about different culture and easy to listen to. The content was very interesting and the author told the story in a way that kept my attention. Loved that she told the meaning of different things in the form of a break.

Beautiful Love Story
Revisado: 10-29-21
I love the way how the author travels thru time and tells pieces of history while keep the main characters connected thru different lives. It was a bitter sweet ending but the story fro how they met and how they remained connected without connected physically was very well crafted. It’s long enough to get the full story and short enough to where the story does not run on. Every chapter was meaningful and great substance.
