The Aftermath of a stunning victory—especially an unexpected, complete, and final victory—should be high-fives all around, listening to politicians give boring congratulatory speeches, and a well-deserved rest for the Merry Band of Pirates. Yes, the galaxy is still a freakin' mess, but that is nothing new, and for a change, that can be someone else's problem. Until, you know, something really bad happens, and only the Pirates can deal with the problem... Or not.

Entertaining but a little confusing

I had to listen to the Audible story twice. Accompanying maps to the both Audible books would be most helpful. Also a list of some of the Spanish players to differentiate good guys from bad. Still very entertaining and looking forward to the next Audible book in the series. Thanks Taylor

Minor plot inconsistencies but good story

The story has several character events that are not believable (I.e., a person seriously shot, then performing unrealistic body use feats shortly thereafter). The author eventually ties up several loose ends to pull the story together in unexpected ways that you don’t see coming. Worth the listen. The narrator does a very good job and is easy to listen to.

To much profanity

The story was entertaining as is most of what Mr. Currie writes. However, I didn’t expect to encounter the level of profanity that he introduced in this new series as opposed to his “Into the Black” series. I like to listed to my audio books in the house on a Jambox and in my car on the Bluetooth entertainment system usually with my wife and friends present. Couldn’t do that with this audio book. I think Audible should apply a rating on products like this to give me a heads up of what to expect before I buy.

I love Mr McDevitt’s stories. This was one of his best Stories. Great host of characters. Excellent narration of the story by Ms Van Dyck. I’m probably going to listen to this book again just to pick up on some of the details missed while driving. Please continue to turn more Jack McDevitt hardcover books into Audible books.
