I was able to finish it but only just barely. Usually I enjoy alot of action in litrpg however the descriptions of the battle never really pulled me in and were over in a couple pages. on top of that there really was no character development or even any real personality in any character. On top of that Amber is incredibly overpowered. I really wanted more story and fantasy or atleast be pulled into the action but none of that happened.

Other reviews will probably do better explaining the merits of the book but I'd just like to play devils advocate for the narrator. She is a really great performer there was just a slight mismatch with character as you could tell she would be better suited for more mature characters. However, I still thoroughly enjoyed listening and wasn't bothered. I only wanted to say this because I didn't want anyone to pass on this for such a little thing that could be ignored. The story is amazing, the characters fleshed out, and overall worth listening to.

I really wish audiobooks would stop switching up voices. it takes me completely by surprise and put of the story. Unless it's the same voices through the whole books please don't change it chapter to chapter.

incredible story, odd choice of switching voice actors for whole chapters

i absolutely loved every moment of this story. I pulled an all nighter to finish this and from story telling to the characters it's gold. The only complaint is how startling it was when the voice actor went to the male and all the voices even female were suddenly changed for the chapter. it's odd to go back and forth and needs to be consistent through the whole audiobook.

I adore the characters both main and secondary. Their development and personalities are almost as fun as the mysteries. Definitely worth the time to listen and/or read.

Wonderful story

Overall the story is amazing and I've truly fallen in love with all the characters. I will say as for the narrator that for the most part she is great however the intimate and intense moments she makes the character sound really whiny. the weird whisper and inflection is difficult to listen to. It made the sex scene difficult to get through just from the odd way she read it.

wish the author new how to end a book

Listen its understandable to want to end a book in a way that would want a reader to buy the next but I'm tired of the cliff hangers. The chapters and books all end without even a slight conclusion and some right in the middle of battles. It doesn't make sense and it's so extremely annoying. to be honest if it wasn't for the fact I hate leaving series once i started them I would have quit on book two.
As for the books themselves I'll admit the story is very interesting and for the most part I do like the characters. Could do without the misogyny that the series is laced with but unfortunately all fantasy writers seem to hate women so I'm use to it.

It started out a good story but it's being ruin with horrible dialogue such as rad and dude. To top it off stupid comments about females and gross sexual moments. No I do not mean sex but immature boner jokes and sexualized dead monsters. If I hadn't dedicated my credits and so much times to the series I would honestly quit.

What the hell?

okay you know at first I really liked this series a few annoying comments from the character about women I pushed aside as not that bad but this book is littered from the Main character disgusting comments. And secondly what the hell was the point of the castration???? I mean this series took a turn to unbearable.. I usually have a strong stomach but this just pisses me off that it literally came from know where..

Without even realizing it I spent my entire day listening to this audio book. It was wonderfully written and fun, many times I was laughing out loud!!
