Dissapointing

Like many of the other reviews, I had really been looking forward to this.
This is a collection of short stories justifying moral superiority over people who choose plastic surgery / enhancements or indignation at being judged for not getting enhancements.
I am not concerned with other people. I was hoping for a discussion on making choices to age naturally and being at peace with those choices. This is not that discussion.

Struggled with distracting narration.

Aside from the fact that it's mainly a Zelda & F. Scott Fitzgerald biography, the narration is so distracting that I only made it about halfway through. I understand there are probably a lot of quotes and excerpts to read in this book, but she emphasizes phrases in the most bizarre and incongruous ways that makes it sound like every other word is italicized or in quotes. Very disappointed, could have been a fun book if there had been more history.

Alas, I was in a hurry and I did not read the reviews before purchasing. The narration is dry, wooden, and flat and completely distracting. I lasted ten minutes or so.

Story ok, writing lacking

Poor writing, heavily cliche driven. Mediocre reading, mispronounced words and terrible accents. Story line is not bad, possible reference to links with other stories near the end, but I probably won't be listening.
