My one complaint…..
Revisado: 04-16-25
….. is that it had to end.
I can only hope JR will decide to continue these characters. I am still shaking my head about how this concept can work, but it does. The development of each main character is incredible. And, yes, it’s pure fantasy, but aren’t we all trying to escape this reality, just for a bit?
Bravo JR. Thank you (and Grover) for a wonderful trilogy.

Wow.
Revisado: 03-12-25
I am a fan of Jeremy Robinson, so I saw that I had missed this series, and downloaded Good Boys. I really didn't read the description prior. I started it, and when I realized the premise, I kind of rolled my eyes. I imagined this would be one I would abandon soon. But, I couldn't deny the action started very quickly. The story grabbed me shortly thereafter, and never let go.
Wow.
Robinson delivered. He delivered with the story. He delivered with the pacing. He delivered with the characters. The narrator was fantastic. I did not want to stop listening. I found myself taking longer trips home to get more story time.
I cannot emphasize the outstanding character development here. Most authors can capture one or two main players, but Robinson captured many. Many heroes, many villains. You love some, you hated some, and some pulled at your emotions. Hard. I could not believe how quickly I became enthralled in this story; a story I initially thought was a ridiculous premise.
If you love dogs, it is a must read. If you love science fiction, it is a must read. I am now off to finish the series, and I can't wait.

Historia
"I'm going to die a hundred years before I was born...." The handwritten note was in a dusty trunk that sat in a cave untouched for 150 years. What did the words mean? When journalist Ray Burton finds the trunk near the Arizona ghost town of Hollow Rock, his life changes in an instant. Something in the trunk shouldn’t be there. This begins a dangerous journey of discovery bordering on the impossible. A discovery that will affect the past, the present, and the future.

Narration killed the story
Revisado: 04-23-24
The story was a bit juvenile and predictable, but could have been entertaining. The narration, however, was just awful. To me it was like a 6th grader reading a story in English class. I was going to give Part 2 a shot until I saw it had the same narrator, so I called it quits on the series.

One of these things is not like the others
Revisado: 05-07-19
I have to agree with the other reviewer that pointed out this book is not indicative of the prior books in the series. It does not focus much on the time travel aspect, which is what drew me to the series to begin with. We don’t have the multiple tries to get things right or the frequent references to advanced knowledge of historical events or cultural changes. It is basically one restart and then a story of that life. Understand, it was an interesting life, adventurous, but that is not what I was looking for in a time travel story.
I will state that I have thoroughly enjoyed the other books in the series. I also enjoy the authors comments at the end of the books discussing his real life inspirations for characters and story lines. I look forward to the next books in the series, and I hope the time travel well has not run dry.

Historia
Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

A Man Called Ove
Revisado: 11-04-16
If Audible would allow a one word review, it would have been "Wow." After reading the multiple positive reviews, I decided to give this book a shot.
I started with skepticism, which lasted about a chapter.
After that, I did not want to stop listening.
After that, I did not want it to end.
Bravo.

A winner from start to finish
Revisado: 04-20-12
As other reviewers have said, this book has it all: characters, story, pacing and great narration. It is a nice twist on the Area 51 legend, and really left you wanting to hear more about the characters. Book of Souls, part II, is just as good. Highly recommended.
