Historia
On a rocky beach in the southwest of Ireland, the body of Jimmy O’Reilly, sixty-nine years old and dressed in a suit and his dancing shoes, is propped on a boulder, staring sightlessly out to sea. A cryptic message is spelled out next to the body with sixty-nine polished black stones and a discarded vial of deadly veterinarian medication lies nearby. Jimmy was a wealthy racehorse owner, known far and wide as The Dancing Man. In a town like Dingle, everyone knows a little something about everyone else. But dig a bit deeper, and there’s always much more to find.

Great story, as always! However…
Revisado: 03-25-23
This narrator was dull as dishwater! I had a difficult time concentrating on the story when she read it like a phone book. No differentiating voices, starts and stops almost as at the end of the line. What a disappointment! I really like Carlene O’Conners books, but you can bet I’ll skip the next one if this is the narrator!

There was a low hiss throughout the book. A faint background conversation off & on, as well! Age???
The narrator was excellent, however, as was the story.

Ok story
Revisado: 02-19-23
Pretty good story. Interesting.
Instructive on a few points, and voices of narrator were good, but whispery, very dramatic delivery. Quite syrupy in several places. It may annoy some listeners. Who was murdered in the reading room?

The series is certainly (necessarily) not as rich in detail as the books! We’ve watched midsomer murders for years and have actually seen this one! What a surprising difference! Mr Hopkins sounds a lot like John Nettles, which increased the listening pleasure!
