Annoying sound effects

It just distracted from an otherwise wonderful story. It made it hard to hear the test. It did not add to the experience. I don’t mean to be negative about the product, but I wasn’t listening for the show... that should, at most been background. It was not. The story was epic. Thank you for that.

Ugh... I wanted to like it

I cannot be very enthusiastic about any this... it was SyFy... I get it; but there was no attempt to tether the story to reality. Probably just author bias, but seriously... a) shutdown the US military & no one - no country would react to that 🤔. I think not! Inside the fiction... the US military actually attacks a state legally! Really!!! And finally b)... you plot to destroy all the ungifted in the US.... w/o consideration of how the world would respond to the US weakness. The premises defy the credulity of even a SyFy book. It was an almost, not there, good book. I can't recommend it to anyone.

A very cool story and the reader certainly had a broad range, so it was easy to follow characters, but the main character seems really cool and gifted. However, the reader portrayed him as slow and bumbling, and not at all like I would have pictured him.

Silly zombie in outer space story

This is told predominantly as a series of text messages sent from characters on different ships each detailed with the senders ID, with time & date stamp, and location. All interlaced with some ethereal overseer narrating for context. Just a tired story of big corporations killing people for their own personal gains and throwing in a zombie producing virus and powerful supercomputer's AI gone bad. I kept waiting on the point.

The breathy performance of this narrator was awful

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A different narrator may have helped, but listening to him inhale and exhale with each sentence and the wet clicking of his tongue made it impossible for me finish the book.

What character would you cut from Storm Front?

I did not like any of the characters and it seemed to me that none of the characters liked each other.
