Historia
New York City, 1950. Dreams come true for radio personality Maggie Lane when she gets her big break in the exciting new world of television. The Maggie Lane Baking Show is on the air. All she has to do is act like the ideal housewife, create sumptuous desserts, charm the show’s sponsors, and sign a morality clause to ensure that her girl-next-door image remains untarnished. Although newlywed Maggie has never baked so much as a cookie, and knows even less about maintaining a home, keeping up appearances is a necessary ingredient for success. Easy.

I loved it! Very Dexterish but with spicy romance and comedy mixed in.
Revisado: 10-19-23
Take my advice and do not set down to eat while starting this book. You will thank me later. Joe Arden got my attention and dragged me into hearing the sample. I was hooked with the trigger warning. Joe once again knocks it out of the park. Just something about his laugh and Brynne was clever enough to incorporate lots of laughs with this twisted dark romance. The banter between the two including their flirty text was perfection. Looking forward to book 2.

They say that all men are created equal. Well, that’s a blatant lie! I know, because I met God's gift to women in Vegas; I pretended he was my husband to get rid of another man. He took our fake marriage seriously, and it became his personal goal to consummate. He spoke to me in French, and I lied to him in German. His laughter was addictive. But I thought what happens in Vegas would stay in Vegas. Until it didn't.

Definitely one of my favorite book series!! I would rank this as one of the top 3 easily. So well written and laid out. The characters all have great depth and likable personalities. This story contains some of the hottest scenes I have read and the storyline is top notch. Usually you can’t have both but this set delivers and keeps you wanting to know what happens next. There are many moments that will have you laughing and others have you close to tears. Highly recommended.

Eden Murphy came into my club looking to make some extra cash. A girl like her didn't belong in a place like this. She'd get ripped to shreds. Most likely by me. There's nothing but sweetness dripping from her sexy little body, and I'm the monster who's salivating to get a taste.

“sweet sweet warrior”
Revisado: 10-14-21
Ok so the story line is different and interesting but there is so much unnecessary fluff of flashback’s that were all being told by the same narrator’s in 3rd person. Sort of weird hearing them say their own name when speaking about what happened in the past (kind of cave manish) No one speaks the way these two did and even the dialogue for the kid wasn’t realistic. It would make more since if they were both poets instead of a dancer and an ex biker gang member. I cringed when in the heat of the moment she called him her sweet sweet warrior. It was just weird and didn’t fit. Anything else would of been an improvement lol. The story could of been so great without all the extra repetitive nonsense, the poetic dialogue, and if it was all written and recorded in first person. The narrator’s did great with what they were given. I could of listen to this man speak all day long.
