Ok all you millennials…. This is probably not your cup of tea…. Because you will have to leave your feminism at the door and deal something all older Harlequin Romance Books had in common and that was the men were all arrogant misogynistic a holes, the women are normally all sweet virginal innocents the sex scenes are few light and tasteful … the stories are full of angst but always have a HEA…
I personally use to read Harlequin back in the day long ago and I appreciate the “darker romances” from back then!

Excellent Story/series but I did not Expect The Cliffhanger! Ouch!!

The series was excellent! Kept me interested from the beginning to the end! It had everything you could ask for, just the right amount of smut, danger/ fear, intrigue, angst, lots of action and excitement plus plenty of humor! I thought it was all going to be wrapped up in this last book and it sure looked like it was heading that way… but WHAM DID THE AUTHORS THROW US A CURVE BALL! Leaving us with one heck of a cliffhanger that there is no way for anyone who really got into this story to ignore! I assume there will be “at least” a book 4 and I for one will definitely be reading it… I just wish I would have known that it was more than a 3 book series! I would have waited so I could read them all back to back……

She's not at all interested in Ehd's primitive advances, and she just can't seem to get him to listen. No matter what she tries, getting her point across to this primitive but beautiful man is a constant - and often hilarious - struggle.

One thing I really liked about this book.., was we got a glimps into the mind of a Sadist… not a psychopath what “might” have made Him that way… how He felt when He 1st got his captive ( His toy) and as the story progressed and she learned to trust and eventually love Him, He changed with her… their relationship grew into something that was special in its own way… anyone who does not understand or agree with D/s BDSM might want to stay clear… this story is based on it…

Listeners beware… this is a very dark story!!! It’s hard to listen to…, both MCs are broken and depraved in their own psychological way! They both suffer from childhood abuse that can be a HARD trigger for lots of listeners… I give it to A. Zavarelli she knows how to tell one heck of a twisted tale!! She gives you your HEA, but there can be no doubt… if this was r/l… it would have a totally different end! A very tragic end… Listeners you’ve been warned!!!
