Historia
It began on New Year’s Eve. The sickness came on suddenly, and spread quickly. The fear spread even faster. Within weeks, everything people counted on began to fail them. The electrical grid sputtered; law and government collapsed - and more than half of the world’s population was decimated. Where there had been order, there was now chaos. And as the power of science and technology receded, magick rose up in its place.

Kept me intrigued but at some points reminded me of the walking dead series. Still great read I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to a sequel, if and when it is written.

Historia
When The Parlour opens up in town, domestic diva Sophie Winston finally has a place to satisfy her cravings for all things tea and crumpet related. And the shop serves as the perfect place for the ladies of the town to gather and gossip, especially since it's conveniently located right across the street from the new antique store run by the handsome and charming Robert Johnson. But speculation around Robert really boils over when he's found dead - a victim of poisoning after attending a literacy fundraiser at The Parlour the night before.

Loved series
Revisado: 11-28-17
Every book in this Diva series was wonderful to listen to. Every crime kept me wanting to listen a bit longer to try and figure it out. There was always a twist when I thought I had it. Would like more books to be written for the series. And as an extra, I learned quite a few things from both Diva’s advice column.

Historia
It has been 12 years since a dark, murderous figure stalked the alleys and courts of Whitechapel. And yet, in the summer of 1900, East London is still poor, still brutal, still a shadow city to its western twin. Among the reformers is an idealistic young woman named India Selwyn-Jones, recently graduated from medical school. With the help of her influential fiance - Freddie Lytton, an up-and-coming Liberal MP - she works to shut down the area's opium dens that destroy both body and soul.

Historia
The history books have cast Katherine of Aragon, the first queen of King Henry VIII of England, as the ultimate symbol of the Betrayed Woman, cruelly tossed aside in favor of her husband’s seductive mistress, Anne Boleyn. Katherine’s sister, Juana of Castile, wife of Philip of Burgundy and mother of the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V, is portrayed as “Juana the Mad,” whose erratic behavior included keeping her beloved late husband’s coffin beside her for years.
