nice thoughts
Revisado: 06-02-22
enjoyed the logic and examples of others, especially the writers. The prolog is great because he gives credit to everyone else for his observations and mentions his website when he knows a more expansive view or chart you can print out is available for possible help. Enjoy his smarts.

Historia
In the 17th and 18th centuries, scientists went beyond Aristotle's four elements (Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water) to catalogue nature's many basic elements. New materials and potions stimulated visions of wealth and healing; soon, new theories of atomic structure and combustion laid the foundation for practical applications that blossomed into the Industrial Revolution.

I listened while I cleaned and glad to have on Audible. Spending time in a classroom and trying to focus would have me misbehaving terriblely. If I were going into the field I would have paid more attention but thank you for the course.

Historia
An extraordinary literary work, Dear Mr. You renders the singular arc of a woman's life through letters Mary-Louise Parker composes to the men, real and hypothetical, who have informed the person she is today. Beginning with the grandfather she never knew, the letters range from a missive to the beloved priest from her childhood to remembrances of former lovers to an homage to a firefighter she encountered to a heartfelt communication with the uncle of the infant daughter she adopted.

It's like a diary. steamy in some parts and I don't agree a man with a woman before marriage although the steamy should be part of a marriage. Enjoyed her capturing different times and folks in her life.

Mary Lennox starts her life as an unhappy victim of circumstance. After the loss of her parents, she moves to rural Yorkshire to live with a distant uncle where she resents the wildness of the countryside. At first, she struggles to find a place in this new existence. Although unsure about her surroundings and its occupants, through the gentle guidance of the maid she gradually becomes interested in the story of Mrs Craven, who apparently used to spend her time in a garden at the house, the key to which has vanished.

fun for kids imagination
Revisado: 04-27-21
Nice voice to listen to. I'd forgotten the youthfulness of this story. A child's mind would naturally think it fun to have adult servants in fear if his or her words... wouldn't fly in the real world but none the less told thru a child's narrative. I hope my children will have secrect gardens and learn the silliness and beauty of Creation.

Eating is an indispensable human activity. As a result, whether we realize it or not, the drive to obtain food has been a major catalyst across all of history, from prehistoric times to the present. Epicure Jean-Anthelme Brillat-Savarin said it best: "Gastronomy governs the whole life of man."

I'd need to speak with the author. I will be writing to see if a more accurate portrayal of Biblical understanding can be put in their heart as inaccuracies are already written on this paper. I did not finish the book.

Gin was born from a conifer shrub when medieval physicians boiled juniper berries with wine to treat stomach pain. The Drunken Botanist uncovers the surprising botanical history and fascinating science and chemistry of over 150 plants, flowers, trees, and fruits (and even a few fungi).
