It was so depressing. I made myself finish it but it was hard. I appreciated the research she’d done and information. I was a young girl during the 60’s and am aware of how bad it was for the people who were there. The Deer Hunter is a very good movie. Disturbing but really good. The depths of her despair and how she had so many opportunities to pull herself up was exhausting to me.

Joh Hart

John Hart is one of my favorite authors. In a author’s note at the end of the book, he quotes CJ Box’s review of the book. It describes his style of writing so accurately. He is an author who I listen to his books again and again. Kudos to Kevin Stillwell on his narration. That is always the determining factor whether I’ll listen on Audible or read the book.

Total Power

At first I wasn’t sure Kyle Mills was up to the task of replacing Vince Flynn. He’s stepped up big time and his books are just as good as Vince Flynn’s. That’s saying a lot! I’ve listened to the entire series at least 10 times and enjoyed everyone of them as much as I did the first I discovered them.

Brad Thor ‘Factions’

I can’t get enough of this series. I’ve listened to it several times and anxiously await the next in the series. I love that it is based on research and not strictly fiction. It is highly entertaining and educational. As he says in the interview, it makes me do my own research because so much of it is obvious.

The Power of the Dog trilogy

I have listened to the first two books and enjoyed them immensely. However, I returned The Border because of HIS obvious political bias. I listen to Audiobooks to be entertained, not to hear the authors political rants. I enjoy his style of writing but will not purchase anymore of his Audiobooks because of the political bias. As one person wrote, write the facts and let the listened/reader form their own opinions.
