I love Maysoon!
Revisado: 11-16-19
I first heard of Maysoon when I watched her Ted Talk and was so impressed with everything about her. I really enjoyed listening to her audiobook, especially since she narrated it. I liked hearing the ups and downs, crazy things she did -- basically, her life's story. I laughed out loud. Her intelligence and sense of humor are awesome, and so is her transparency. This was a very enjoyable book!

Super interesting story that is well told
Revisado: 09-06-19
Mike Massimino's New York accent adds an easy, down-to-earth flavor to his story. His journey toward becoming an astronaut -- with all the tests, hurdles, humor, friendships, and wonder -- kept me interested all the way through. He is a good writer and narrator. I really enjoyed his astronaut's view of the space program and how important their job -- and NASA's -- is, bringing the coolness of the Universe to the rest of us on our Earth home. Way to go, Mike!

interesting but not what I expected
Revisado: 03-07-19
The build up in this story about its content reminds me of sensationalist headlines that don't deliver. However, the story is interesting and narrated very well. Interviews with former band members, a Folsom prison guard, and others paint a good backstory. But there was no definitive cliff hanger as the author kept promising, no mystery revealed that changed my image of Johnny Cash or his music. The only revelation that surprised me was that the sound of cheering inmates was spliced in at a certain place in Folsom Prison Blues, spliced into the final cut for the album that made it sound like they we're cheering about murder, when in fact it never happened during the live performance. Shame on the album producers for doing that.

Brilliantly written and relevant to our times. A must-read. Andrew McCabe is an excellent narrator and storyteller. I now have even more respect for the men and women of the FBI and the institution itself. This book lays out the painstaking process of investigation and the mountains of information they work through.
