Though I had to force myself to stick with it when he went into great detail about the Quran and other apologetic material, this was ultimately well worth sticking with.
I learned so much about Islam, and it served to deepen my faith. I'm currently fighting stage 4 cancer, and I especially loved the last few chapters! The whole Matthew five reference about blessed are the poor in spirit, and so on.
And then some of his final words, when God spoke to him saying "this is not about you."
I've never really said why me to God. Yet those few words reminded me how much meaning and purpose there is in suffering as a Christian.
Since cancer started over four years ago, my life has changed dramatically for the better, all while walking in many a deep, dark valley.
I wouldn't change a thing.
Thank you, Nabeel for sharing your story, and encouraging to go even deeper with the Lord, and to trust him in a new way.

This book ushered me to a deeper understanding of what it means to surrender. My favorite part was the in-depth exploration of the vine and branches Scripture toward the end. Can't wait to listen to more of his work.
