Historia
The Battle of the Meuse-Argonne stands as the deadliest clash in American history: More than a million untested American soldiers went up against a better-trained and more experienced German army, costing more than 26,000 deaths and leaving nearly 100,000 wounded. Yet, in 47 days of intense combat, those Americans pushed back the enemy and forced the Germans to surrender, bringing the First World War to an end - a feat the British and the French had not achieved after more than three years of fighting.

Pershing is a hero of mine. Enjoyed this book very much. Narration is good, and it is well written.

Historia
In this long-awaited memoir, songwriter and keyboardist Jonathan Cain takes us on an odyssey from center stage with Journey when all America was listening to songs like "Don't Stop Believin'", "Faithfully", and "Open Arms", to his hope and faith today. He tells of the thrilling moments when the music came together and offers an inside look at why Steve Perry left and the extraordinary story of their gifted new vocalist, Arnel Pineda. Cain's journey wasn't always easy - and his true arrival in life had more to do with faith than fame.

Should have used a different narrator
Revisado: 08-04-21
The story is fine, and interesting, but the narration is terrible.
I love Journey, so I’m a fan, but Cain is clearly not cut out for this medium. He has little to no sense of rhythm or cadence and for a professional recording artist who has been working in the studio for more than forty years, has shockingly poor mic technique. The narration is alternately loud or quiet, the breaths are audible and distracting, and the continued mouth noises make it very tough to listen to. To be fair, it does get better as the book progresses, but it’s still not very good.
All that being said, I enjoyed hearing about the inner workings of one of my favorite bands very much. The piano interludes are a nice touch, as well.

Historia
Jack Torrance's new job at the Overlook Hotel is the perfect chance for a fresh start. As the off-season caretaker at the atmospheric old hotel, he'll have plenty of time to spend reconnecting with his family and working on his writing. But as the harsh winter weather sets in, the idyllic location feels ever more remote...and more sinister. And the only one to notice the strange and terrible forces gathering around the Overlook is Danny Torrance, a uniquely gifted five-year-old.

One of King’s best books

I don’t see why folks are complaining about the narration. I think Scott did a fine job.
