Historia
At 28, Stephanie Land's dreams of attending a university and becoming a writer quickly dissolved when a summer fling turned into an unplanned pregnancy. Before long, she found herself a single mother, scraping by as a housekeeper to make ends meet. Maid is an emotionally raw, masterful account of Stephanie's years spent in service to upper-middle-class America as a "nameless ghost" who quietly shared in her clients' triumphs, tragedies, and deepest secrets.

Great story of a mothers ability to never give up to give not only her child a good life, but herself as well.
Revisado: 07-22-24
I watched the Netflix show first, and it resonated with me a lot. As a mother, you will do anything for your child to feel comfortable and sometimes that requires a lot of sacrifice. She never gave up. This made me want to read the real story. It was beautifully written and I could feel through her words just how much she was willing to sacrifice to give them a better life. To not be seen can be the hardest thing. For people to look down at you while you try to get through life is another terrible part of this world. No one is better than the other and I’m so happy Stephanie and Story found a better life! She never gave up and she continued to find strength within herself and from her daughter. Good read!

An incredible book!
Revisado: 04-05-22
This book validates my beliefs that money is a form of energy. Investing, money, spirituality, business relationships all contained within an eloquently written dialogue between a young man and his mentor.

Best book I have ever read!
Revisado: 12-26-19
This book is incredible! It is impossible for me to hear these words and not want to go after anyone or any goal that I've ever thought of. This is truly a must read.
The simplicity of the approach and the words will have you thinking to yourself "why did I ever not just do (that thing)"
